Standard gets to western very early by 5am. Nation cares less about western. Papers arrive at 9am.

Also explains why most westerners choose Standard for obituaries as opposed to Nation.

Standard is full of lies, gossips and rumours.....

Well said! I find standard to have lots of gossip and rumours other than facts.

They can only be rivaled by Daily Post and The Star.

But substandard has reported the westgate issue much better, is like the english version of taifa leo has been siding with the rumors, confusion, "terrifying pictures", fear, bombs, rockets, lies, e.t.c, yet thing ended days ago and everything was explained, who can tell us who is missing? please put their name, or link to their Facebook page we see? yet they have printed 71 missing in their cover page, someone working at JKIA here told us days ago that some 15 "identified bodies" had been loaded as cargo to their destinations, we saw burials days ago at the muslim cemetries, we were given the name of UKs nephew and fiance who died there yonks ago, burial was planned and it was yesterday, why are they still "hoping" for more bodies? hawa watu wana time lapse kubwa na ujinga sana!

I still view standard and star as tabloids! They lack in mainstream professionalism, though Nation also makes occasional ethical mistakes

Pole kwao lakini wakona pesa za kulipa...The Star suffered such an action they were copy pasting word for word especially their sports section from some french newspaper without acknowledgement.

Lately Daily and Sunday Nation have lost all objectivity and are little more than Jubilee mouthpieces. Same goes for their television station, NTV.

You just need to have a look at the DN and SN comments section and see how heavily moderated it is. You'll not get any serious debate on an article that potrays Jubilee in bad light.
