Couldn't agree more. Both companies are doing their best to stay ahead of the pack

Yes, great progress it is. It has been on for a while now. My take is that this one will last.

I was ecstatic when I first saw the Equity advert but have had to temper my initial enthusiasm.

One catch is that the money goes through First National Bank of SA (FNB) so it takes much longer to reach your account. Also remember in South Africa they have strict foreign exchange controls, so you get pay higher charges for the transaction than you normally should.

This also raises queries as to who will actually be responsible in case funds are lost. We know that there's plenty of fraud that goes on in Kenyan banks.

I am also not sure what the maximum withdrawal limit is, so someone who knows can inform me.

After burning my fingers on NationHela, I'm still hesitant to jump into this Equity ship. The day Paypal themselves announce a deal with a Kenyan bank is the day I will know we have arrived.

Please keep your eyes wide open as you carry out your transactions. Overall though, this service appears to be an improvement on what we have in Kenya right now.
