Opted to be paid through EFT but the money is yet to hit my bank, wonder what is going on.

Have other wazuan's been paid?

Had 2 accounts individual & joint and opted for EFT and Cheque respectively. Got both though EFT was first to arrive about 11th September. Got Cheque at end of September through my Broker though was dated 6th September.

What happens to those who had these shares and had not given their consent. Is there a probability of not getting their money.I am one of them.I was away only to return and find the papers on my post box way past the given time.Itakuwa aje?

I had asked the same question. I was away and tried to send my consent via email to Access office (helpdesk) as they had no online form to give assent. Will we be able to know the condition of the company and share price as the company grows. Is there any possibility of the company buying back the small quantities at any given time as the share rise or fall?

It appears that DD was able to get 90% of the AK.And so DISSENTING shareholders have upto 1st dec13 to either get a court injuction against compulsory acquisition or lose the shares for the same consideration(14/-).This time we have to claim for the money from AK.
This is something I would have wanted to keep at all cost but my holding is too small to go to court....

You are so done for!!! I also refused to sell but here is the story...

The fellows illegally/corruptly extended the offer period. They managed to get 90% which allowed them to FORCEFULLY acquire the remaining 10%. They duly forcefully acquired your shares and mine and the only thing they owe you now is money. YOU ARE NO LONGER AN ACCESS KENYA SHAREHOLDER!!!

To get your money, you must claim - useless forko jembes!!! walk into a KCB near you, fill the claim form - ask at the enquiry desk the officer dealing with shares - and in two weeks or so, they'll give you a call to collect your cheque [at the same branch]. You will need to attach a photocopy of your ID and a passport size photograph [try to smile]. He he he!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

thanx for advising maichblack. that's what I gather has happened. I also thought by holding I would get a better deal. @14 the company was grossly undervalued if you compare what we paid for the share price. the money would have earned more interest in the bank! anyway time to cut losses short. thanx once again.

FYI-your shares are still worth Ksh14. That won't increase, but time value of money means it'll decrease...
Better take that walk to KCB or AK offices
