A clear show of a failed policing system. Compromised or whatever, those idiots are the smoke causing cancer in the transport sector. The inebriated drivers n touting outlaws are the malignant tumor wrecking havoc everywhere.Fire just a few traffic cops and their bosses EVERY month, and sanity will be here in an instant.

hehehe Could you be referring to 'msamaria mwema'?

One time I was stranded so I hopped into a shuttle heading to the airport.
The kibus aka trailer was so large and ugly, when I entered I found people dozing in the morning!!!
It looked cold, dark and intimidating ni as if it was heading to Loliando.
I alighted and waited for MM.

Another exp.
I once entered the small ones.Looked so new and cute outside.Waa!!
When I sat those chumas for holding luggage started hitting against each other. We thought they would fall on our heads.
Then the driver hit a pothole!! JESUS! Do you know I was thrown up,my head hit the roof( was seated pale kwa tyres za nyuma.)
My scream almost caused an accident.Laughing out loudly
Enyewe I was hurt kwa head mbaya, thought my intestines had gone to my chest. I swore NEVER ever, come rain or sun.Sipandi shuttle tena.
I stood all the way cz there was no way one could have endured that roughness.

If it's public ni MM for me.

yesterday at around 6.30 pm I saw a cop take 100/- at the now death spot of machakos junction on mombasa highway.the nissan matatu was carrying excess passengers.the cop was in specks if anyone cares to set a trap to catch this thief cop.

I wish we had a functioning government!!! these thug cops would be rotting in jail with the greedy drivers and pea headed passengers who board already full matatus

There's a group that has been shooting a documentary about the disaster that is the transport system in Kenya for over one year. From the ferries to rail transport to trailers that break down everywhere to the impunity and corruption that drives the matatu industry and corruption in the inspectorate, just ask yourself, how do these beaten down garbage collection lorries and mboga canters pass any roadworthyness tests or roadblocks? I don't know who will air it but I'm waiting with baited breath. May be this might hopefully present a wake up call.

BBI will solve it

Th green garbage collection lorries leave the airport with parking boys behind and on top of the garbage.
Once they reach the round-about at tajmall, the boys deliberately throw lots of garbage on the road as they ransack through garbage. The cops don't give a damn and woe unto you if you dare plead with them to stop? your vehicle will bear resemblance to theirs.

I wish there was a way to stop them because they leave the roads littered with slimy trash.

nothing has really changed .there was another serious accident on this spot yesterday yet a roadblock is just afew metres away.our D+ material police are a great letdown.
where can one report misbehaving drivers and expect rapid response?
