In Saudi Arabia I guess the rule is probably replicated in other middle East Countries. One wonders if non Muslim Women who may find themselves in such Countries for one reason or another are also bound by this rule! http://www.standardmedia...en-over-driving-protest

To muslims, women are a combination of sex-object, a means to get children, worker and show of wealth. If there is one thing that would shake islam into reality, is the emancipation of its woman. The men's bloated egos, their sense of greater-than-thao that creates monsters who abuse our workers that go to work in their countries, that gives rise to terrorists who want to obliterate anything not muslim, is mainly from the fact that they've 'sat' on their women. Wonder what will happen when countries have no need for the gulf oil. When they can be self sufficient. Its a fear islam is battling... and one only needs to look around, they are now trying to make use of the 'remaining' time, to get into everything. Some sort of take-over.

@Mukiri and sex objects nayo? Wait for @Alphadoti to see this. I hope he can address the same rationally devoid of emotion. Its not personal, just the way I see it. Only that I'm not shy to say it.

Ahem! ... where was I, didn't see this before... @Mukiri, i'm always objective. The only issue with you is that, in all instances, you mock on somehting which you're so ignorant about! Sometimes you copy paste sites and when confronted about it, you run away and say you just copied it and you didn't actually understand it in the first place. Many, many times. I would urge you to thin before you talk. Do not just hate something you don't even understand. @B.Timer and for you, did you call your thread Muslim women? You mean every Muslim woman is denied to drive? We have Muslim women in Kenya, don't they drive? There are Muslims women in the US, in UK, in France, Algeria, in Libya, in Sudan etc don't they drive? You're misleading too, the title should be specific to Saudi Arabia. That way, you would be truthful.

I'll tell you this, whether you like it or not; it is the opposite! The lifestyle you're busy admiring, the "Westernization", is actually a disguise form of exploitation of the body, deprivation of honour, and degrading of soul. You can't tell me the billboard you recently admired of one naked woman (famous Nairobi woman) is of a Muslim woman! You can't tell me the thousand prostitutes that walk the streets in the US, UK, Holland and have licenses to do so are Muslim women. You can't tell me all these young naked little girls walking around in Koinange street, you can't tell me they represend liberation. You can't tell me thousands of arbotions that take place with these young women, you can't tell me that represend sophistication or liberation. You can't tell me that naked women sitting on billboards, naked women selling everything even chocolate bar, toothpaste, everything are Muslim women. You can't tell me that does not represend sexual exploitation. So let's talk about things correctly. And let's be fair. Let's be objective. I gave you some statistics before. Let me give it to you again: prostitution, venerial diseases & STDs, abortions, pedophilia, and number of children being raped and kidnapped that exists in your developed mindset society. It is almost unheard of in the Muslim world So I think that the statistics kind of speak for themselves.

Nobody is perfect, not me nor you!

Let's me forget @Mukiri for a moment...
As for driving, women in Islam have a right to move, to go out, for their needs. And if there is need for them to drive, the society has to provide safe & secure environment for them.
Of course, in some places they have not allowed them to drive because they are afraid that women may encounter difficulty and some problem. Not because Islam forbids them. That is only there for their own circumstances, only for their own social structure that they forbid that. For example, in China, women are not allowed to ride motorbikes. Did you know that? And do you agree with that? May be not. So you realized that it is their own circumstances, and they know better why.
You know most of the Muslim countries have not forbidden women from driving. They do drive. Nobody says it is forbidden or it is haram in Islam.
Just understand that in some areas at certain times, people may do that. You may agree with them or you may not agree with them. But that's their own particular circumstance, but it has nothing to do with shariah or Islamic law.
Shariah law is universal law. And universal law has not forbiden anybody from driving, as long as that person knows how to drive, and vehicle is in right condition and those road rules.
So I hope this is clear to all concerned.

Because from the way you demonize everything non-muslim, given the chance you'd wipe us all away Si you just address the issue at hand RATIONALLY! Hopefully without theatrics and side-shows? Why do you treat your women so?
