Buddy, it was a AFRICAN themed party and people dressed up and to add some colour they painted themselves black. What is wrong with that? That KKK guy got the wrong memo. Maybe he should have dressed up like an Arab sheikh if he really wanted to make an impression. there was a dude dressed as a witchdoctor there with bones!! All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Marko please just stop with the ignorance, its better you stay quiete because going by your logic, since the KKK is not in Africa, there's no problem!! So since it does not directly affect you, there's no issue here. Well it affects a lot of people, and your little utopian world does not negate the fact that horrendous things happened in the past, and there are people who have deep wounds till today. Just the other day I was talking to a 70 year old African American woman whose grandfather had to flee from the KKK. Just imagine for a minute that the KKK comes to your house at midnight and order you to leave town by morning, otherwise they will burn your house plus your children and family in it. I am extremely offended by those photos, and the tag is This is Africa, its amazing that you don't see anything wrong with the pictures and even defend them, but you will be the first one to shout till you're hoarse when they portray Africans as backwards and all dying of AIDS, poverty and famine. I suggest you reread Mr. Sulu's comment again and again, then one more time. If that doesn't work, go apply for a visa so you can experience racism and know that this stuff is real, not just fun and games. Just an FYI, if you dressed up as a KKK member, in America, most white Americans would be offended coz they would feel like you are stereotyping a whole race and making them look evil, now extrapolate that into these pictures.

Isn't this staying true to the theme of the party?? I thought we actually do have these witchdoctors and their bones in almost every shagz... I think this party was just a tourists perception of Africa with exception of the KKK guy! An unnecessary attack on the party host IMHO Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

I repeat. That guy in the Klan outfit got the wrong memo. It was an AFRICAN themed party and not a BLACK AMERICAN themed party. I do not need to go to America to experience racism. I am happy being in Kenya and I have no desire to leave Kenya for any other country. What you, my friend, need to understand is that there is a whole ocean and a cultural barrier that stands between me and your Black American friend. I have my historical injustices and he/she has theirs. Tell me since when have you seen a Black American coming to Africa to fight with me for my rights and justice? Why is it that now someone guy does not get the theme right in a party, you want me to bring up a hue and cry? Black Americans have no identity with their African heritage. I do not see why it is my duty to have an identity with theirs. WHO DARES WINS

Why is it that now someone guy does not get the theme right in a party, you want me to bring up a hue and cry? Black Americans have no identity with their African heritage. I do not see why it is my duty to have an identity with theirs. I live in the USA and I have for a long time, while the picture is probably offensive to African Americans, I don't expect someone living in African to be offended by it since African have no direct relationship with KKK history. I don't know how long Nabriwe have lived in USA, apparently based on your writing, you're very sensitive to racial stuff, while I have been in USA for a long time, there are alot of things with race/African American experience that I cannot relate with so when I looked at that picture, I knew someone will be offended but I wasn't offended myself because I don't share that history. Based on My personal experience, I can say Nabwire is maybe 3-6yrs in USA because during that period in USA there is a tendancy to try to search for one's identity as a black person. African immigrants during that period would start acting, dressing, talking and even feeling the African American pains but After sometime you hit the wall since African Americans are not very accepting, atleast in my experience. Also as your education and career advance you find yourself more and more aligned with the whites and (African American who are also educated and align to whites) than that ordinary African American who is exposed to racial stuff on a daily basis for that reason your sensitivity goes down and suddenly you don't notice racial stuff. so Nabwire, slow down not everyone can relate to racial stuff that doesn't make anyone ignorant, again I don't know which life you live in USA but the white people I know are as cool as anyone I know, I walk the streets of American city everyday and I have not experienced the level of racism you are implying here, so I don't know, maybe white people are nice to me and mean to Nabwire? One more thing though, if you're a loser in America obviously people( including whites) are going to see you as less equal so maybe you need to improve your situations racial discrimination against you will be minimal!
