The id. The essence of Man in conflict, as kingdoms shake and tremble.

The way I see it,the id is not in conflict. It knows what it exactly wants. At the very least the physical aspect of our existence brings about the basic desires of the id.

Problem is,how do you explore the needs of the ego and superego beyond indoctrination and you can't objectively analyze it because no one is born outside the 'system'.That creates a cycle of reinforcing our perceptions of the ego and superego.

True. The id is not in conflict. But it is the locus of conflict within and without the individual.

When I first wrote the above words I had a mind and metaphor that's different from the one I have now, and by the end of this post I'll be having another.

That's we have a set comprising of elements M, M1, M2, M3, . . . to infinity. The id then becomes the difference between M1, and M. And entails a demand for 'symbolic adaptation'.

That is, the Superego is 'expanding', and the ego, along with its symbols has to adjust. The compulsion to adjust is the id.

And it's Damocles sword because one dies if adjustment isn't made.

Being 'born again' is to come out of the system.
