I broke the crown of my tooth today but since the root is intact and it's not paining at all,I thought instead of throwing it away,I could fix it back with superglue.
So here I am with glue, tooth and pengo and my first attempt of pouring glue into the pengo failed.
My lips got stuck to my teeth.

Now Done and tooth Firm in place, smile ,will post results after 1 week.

It would only be a temporary fix. Sooner or later the bond is bound to weaken depending on which tooth you cracked. You would be surprised the forces that your teeth have to withstand during mastication.
As for the long term toxicity effects of cyanoacrylates(chemical name of superglue) none are as yet known and are considered relatively safe for domestic use...as for how safe they are for internal use, the jury is still out there.
It is a curious fact that of all the illusions that beset mankind, none is quite as curious as that tendency to suppose that we are mentally and morally superior to those who differ from us in opinion.

Thank you 50 ct.
see below what I found out;

Quote:
Abstract
Cyanoacrylate (CA) and its homologues have a variety of medical, dental and commercial applications as adhesives. The increasing use of CA in dentistry, particularly as an adhesive and sealing glue, has raised concerns regarding its potential toxicity in humans. Reported toxicity of CA is uncommon in the dental workplace, but may manifest as conditions such as urticaria, contact dermatitis and other dermatoses. Dental staff using CA adhesives should avoid direct contact with CA and use appropriate personal protective measures. Maintaining higher levels of humidity, optimizing room ventilation and using special air conditioning filters in the working environment may be useful in minimising the toxicity of volatile CA adhesives.

I like your attitude @kysse. Just try it and see. You will have advanced your knowledge and understanding regardless of the outcome. If it falls off after a week then you will know it is a temporary fix. If it lasts a long time you will know that it works. If you experience any other side effects you will know that that is what happens for sure. Your knowledge will be true and sure. Let us know what happens. I personally trust results of people like you much more than those of so called experts.

Where did the dentists go wrong?
The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem

thanks@ kusads.smile
zze it's temporary,it may/may not last forever but it will help me accomplish much by being in place.
Imagine not being able to laugh or smile because of pengo.
A dentist will pull out all that remained of the tooth and throw it away including the good tooth.
Then he will demand that I put an expensive fake one after throwing the real one.-I am just playing dentist,I hope it works.

Awsome! unbelievable! wow.smile

Update: As I was brushing my teeth,I accidentally knocked it off..
Not to give up,I replaced it firmly.Messy work on hands and lips.
I even realized that it was facing the opposite direction when I fixed it last night.Probably the reason it didn't hold on tight.

It's very firm and no one can tell it's being held by glue.
I have just had a hot mug of coffee and toast-thought it would melt but nope.smile.
