I am right!!!!

Remember I said I also bought Adventurers Teachers Manual (just because you mentioned Adventurers)?

Because I did not have the Adventist Home nearby I took this manual to read. Adventurers are between 5-9 yrs old.

Right there where Adventurers Classwork is described is this quote:

Quote:
"Since both men and women have a part in homemaking, boys as well as girls should gain a knowledge of house hold duties. To make a bed and put a room in order, to wash dishes, to repair a meal, to wash and prepare his own clothing, is a training that need not make any boy less manly; it will make him happier and more useful. And if girls, in turn, could learn to use the saw and hammer, as well as the rake and the hoe they would be better fitted to meet the emergencies of life"

This, I suppose, is what is ought to be taught the 5-9 yr olds by their teachers.

This is, according to me, equality! It is equity! It is fairness! It is justice!

Therefore I suppose anything that describes a contrary situation cannot be attributed to an Adventist lifestyle or Adventist training.

Am I coming across as defending Adventists? Yes. Strange goggles I must have then, lol. I am just reading Adventist books, seriously.

Therefore, anyway, I now don't think chauvinism should, ought, must be part of Adventist men and boys.

Just as the-dainty-princess-who-is-waiting-for-prince-charming attitude should not be a part of Adventist women and girls.

I still will read Adventist Home and return.

slowly we are arriving at the same point, what they teach and preach is totally different from what they do and drink.

Am here, interesting stuff, i have no idea where to start from. coincidentally most Seventh Day Adventists are Kisiis, and most households in that region grow tea, why would they preach to people not to take beverages and want to make money from the same harmful stuff?
Coincidentally last week was holy communion, i happened to be in church that day, and the person who preached that day did a fantastic job, he said holy communion is not for the saints, but for the sinners, i took holy communion for the first time in a decade. I happened to be going for a meeting that morning and wore some jewellery, so i found myself in church with the earrings and necklace, did i have intentions of wearing them inside the church? No. Was my intention to attract someone or some attention in particular? No. But then somehow wearing them makes me feel good and happy at the end of the day whether in church or not, will they make someone sin,, maybe yes maybe not. i believe in everyone taking control of their thoughts, words and deeds, you can choose to ignore something altogether, but if you choose to think otherwise problem is yours.
Adventist families are not different from other regular families, so expect to find all the issues faced by other homes in those homes, however the church will expect the pastor's house to be inorder, because this is what the pastor is teaching at the pulpit, if it is not in order, there is trouble, they will point fingers. Reason why i wouldn't want to go near anything that is likely to get me some kind of responsibility in charge, i just fear fingers being pointed my way, considering am a liberal.
Wrong, New Life is a segment of the Seventh Day Adventist church, somewhere on Ngong road, never been there, i was however made to understand its for the liberals like me.

Your body is the temple of the holy spirit, you are supposed to be a steward of what God has given you at all times...Adventists do take Ellen.G.White as a prophetess and all that she wrote is inspire by God...The bible is the greater light, her writings are the lesser light...on matters about food stuffs....http://www.whiteestate.org/books/mol/Chapt28.html
