I am a university student and entrepreneur. Currently, I am faced with a situation where I have limited resources and several plans and responsibilities. Below is my situation:-
Savings:- Ksh 500,000
Expected expenses for coming semester
School fees:- Ksh 13,000 (JAB)
Rent for one semester in Kahawa:- Ksh 20,000 (5k per month since I am a bachelor)
Expenses e.g food, clothes, transport and credit:- Ksh 6,000 per month. I partied when in 1st year so am no longer interested.
Paying my Brother's fees and pocket money (Form 4):- Ksh 20,000
Going forward i have the following plans:
- I will no longer be in a position to earn Ksh 100,000 per month while studying. Since it is my business, I can only work part time and earn a maximum of Ksh 50,000 monthly.
- I need an investment that will earn me Ksh 50,000 monthly with the least capital possible. It should not require my 24/7 presence. Any business idea with such returns is welcome. I do not mind hiring an employee.

with around 450K and monthly top up of 50K,you expect to earn 50k per month? I dont have an idea but i think that is too ambitious unless you want to be a loan shark
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

500k is his savings. he already has a business going that will give him 50k. I believe what he wants to know is what business he can do to give him another 50k.... if i got him correctly...

i have none in mind but how about duplicating what you have been doing and employing someone to do it for you? you can move the business to another region/area/campus (if it is based in campus or targets campus students)

@ Wendz...I am faced with the urgent need to diversify. The industry where I am working is very cyclic and during the off-peak season, I would not like to rely on where I am now. The only true safety I have is if I diversify. I also think competition is creeping in so I may not rely fully on this industry and it may be time I started preparing for the worst. Nonetheless, I have hired to guys to help me out with the business for the three remaining months. I will be able to make double of what I have been making with the use of the two employees.

Approach one of those horticulture companies...be their supplier. Employ someone to be getting the produce from the farmers in the villages and hire a pick-up. All the best.
