I like this KK inside view. Hidden trails just like oil majors. Time to start boarding is soon...

So would I; but the thrust of their positions always hedge against USD/KES depreciation, hence losing money should the contra happens.

Best practice by CFOs has moved from playing forex badly, to just running core business well while covering near term obligations. Hope KK are fully aligned.

A little wary with the improving USD/KES exchange rate - today at 84.90; it always seems to catch KenolKobil, KQ, Total, a little flat footed.

I actually thought a strengthening USD/KES is good for oil importers??

a definite pattern of bad bad news, push share down. some top shareholders selling and the other resisting share drop below 8.00 and mopping up those share. I'm buying at 8.00 with the big boys. if a share is the worst perfoming in the bourse over a certain period then surely it will be the best perfoming in another, unless its a neveready, olympia monkey

The equation is changing with heavy demand orders starting to surface above 8

Unless the big boys plan a Dimension(AK) or a Futaim(CMC), by buying it lower than what they should have paid for last year. Maybe a Puma or a Tiger is on the prowl.

@Hisah definitely the change in the news pattern for KK cannot go unnoticed. However I would wish to know whether there is any pattern, fundamental or technical.... that points towards a positive outlook on this stock. Because am yet to be convinced by the last results, noting that they were proceeds of asset sales!

How much were the proceeds of asset sales?

Those results did not have asset sales in them. That is coming through in 2H13. Those were operating results.

Silenlty KK re claims 9.00 handle. Like a thief in the night no buzz created. Wait for 10.00 and people may sit up and notice. Now that we are confirmed of its direction, it wouldnt be bad to buy a few more, just coz theres time

Haha @monkey. In the NSE every dog has its day, from the looks of things we are few in KK, ppl are so quiet. Im seeing 9.50 smashed by 3.00pm.

Aguy,9.50 could have easily been smashed today had not those 4 guys/splits put in a sell of 341,000 shares.

Means sellers will increase at 9.50 and spoil the good demand-supply imbalance.Tough resistance at 9.50

This is definitely going up, I suspect the current seller is crawling up with the market.

I highly doubt the price will collapse. On fundamentals I wouldn't be surprised if KK pay a token dividend for this years results. My back of the envelope calculations tells me they will make about + 2B in PBT in 2013.

KPC suit coming up in November, fingers crossed KPC can pay up!
