Clearly Kenya played much better and with more consistency when Friday came in. I think the article above has touched on some of the issues with local coaches: favouritism, poor selection, inability to enforce discipline. Also the fact that the Union simply does not respect them so they cannot make demands about how the team should be supported.

In which year did Kenya finished 5th under Benja ? I think his best finish was 6th in 2009.

Also Friday only had one year with the team. Had he stayed several years as Benja did, I think he woulda taken Kenya to several more cup finals maybe even won.
