Honestly, I don't know but my broker is opening an account for my son and he'll transfer. He said all I have to do is sign the transfers. BBI will solve it :)

I've benefited from this thread. I had the odd lots but i have managed to clear them. I had thought that it was impossible to get rid of them.

If you have 63 shares, place a buy order of 39 shares to make 100 shares. I did thro dyerandblair within an hour for 4 counters.

Why then do we need brokers if they cannot sell a stock with odd lots for their customers? Isn't this a business weakness? Brokers where one has invested should be able to take up old lots at their present value back to the investing company! Odd lots are creation of bonus issues.

At todays price of 147/= I have no tears to shed, even allowing for the commmision. I am in the business of buying odd lots at discounted prices, and believe me they accumulate with time. If I exit the 1000 DTB bought as odd lots today I wlll make some 24,000/= in a month (in DTB counter alone) enough to buy my fuel for the whole month!

Buying odd lots is very easy. especially if u use active lite. just click buy/sell the share u want, then select odd, then place the amount of shares u want to buy/sell and price. it might take some time but u will get the shares. i have bought many odd lots of jubilee, cfc, eabl, etc. been hunting for NMg. it works well when there has been split or bonus issues.
