- NigeriaSat-1 an observation satellite, was launched from Russia on the 27th of September, 2003.
It was lost in space in November 2008, about a year after its launch.-

How do satellites get lost in space? do they go get sucked somewhere or they just evaporate? They have discovered some "black holes" in the universe where things seem to disappear...google about it

- NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X were launched in 17 Aug 2011 in Yasny,Russia.

Ghana have also launched one though a miniture one-
It's a precursor to the launch of a bigger one is 2016.

While we are busy burning airports and pickpocketing! nkt.

@kysse...Kenya too has a satellite project..better still we have a launching pad in Malindi so we wont have to go to Russia to launch. Good for Nigeria and Ghana.

good to know.

@ black hole could be hell.

It cant be hell...

madeemoni then

lol,
1.It is a hole
2.It is black
3.It's in the space
4.It sucks in stuff-like vaccum
5.It must be bottomless

What is it?

wrong on all counts..
blackholes are just super dense and MASSive masses. with incredible gravitational pulls that such everything including radition close by! its not like a 'vaccum' and cannot be bottomless since its a mass. technically vaccums don't put but rather matter escapes does what it does best 'fill space' and vaccums are space without matter. So air rushes to fill the space untill there is an equilibrium. back to black holes - the reason we cannot view stuff that happen in there is because there is an event horizon - a point of no return even for light or any radiation that could show us exactly what happens within the blackhole.
