@Muganda has a point. Maybe this is a case truth hurts. Quote:Maybe that is why Gandhi, a hindu who had studied the bible, koran, gita once said... I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. You see, Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) was totally different person from what Christians potray him. Also the Christians themselves are not "Christ-like"

anasazi wrote:My belief is that since it is not forbidden in the Bible for priests to marry, then they should.
The misguided idea that a Pope's word is equal to scripture is what has led to all this mess. The directive that priests should not marry may have been well meaning, but the results speak for themselves. Change the directive, admit fallability. All men are fallible. Then things will change. @anasazi there is a lot of "cheating". Not only about marriage (celibacy, polygamy), but also in almost every matter. They have made un-lawful things lawful and they have permitted the unlawful. What amazes me is that the followers see this but are helpless.

This is the kind of news that anti-christs relish in. Show me someone who claims not be a sinner and I'll show you a liar. Let ye without sin cast the first stone. But having said that, maybe the papacy should re-think the chastity vows. What purpose does it serve?

Pope Francis said the Catholic Church must shake off an obsession with teachings on abortion, contraception and homosexuality and become more merciful. Church sometimes had "locked itself up in small things, in small-minded rules" and should not be so prone to condemn. Its priests should be more welcoming and not cold, dogmatic bureaucrats.http://www.theguardian.com/worl...-interview-america/printLikewise, it serves little for Christians to nit-pick on their differences. They should be moved by mercy and love to reach out to those in need, in doubt, in despair. After all, aren't we all just human beings more alike than different?

Catholics may not speak against the pope because of Acts 23:5

No doubt many will come with such expressions as this. So in the end one has to admit that he's always wearing 'goggles'. We are looking at someone's 'goggles' here. Mine states that Christ is Man God, and being Man God is the only way that one can be 'Christ like'. And, it's not about a group, or a religion, but the individual himself. So, @Alph, are you 'Christ like'.

Unfortunately, few tap into their power, nay, love, and springs of mercy. And there is strife everywhere.

So, @Alph, are you 'Christ like'. @tycho unfortunately, we're not talking about the same Christ. I told you before that I think you're smart boy. But what you talk mostly is gibberish. If only you could make people understand you. You see when you say " mine states that...". What is this thing of yours, which only you understands. I'm not referring to that "thing" you only know. You keep saying "Man God". I don't ascribe to that thinking of saying God is man and Man is God. You see if a person is genuineand learns something new, he will say, oh yes, I see this or I didn't know that. But if that person is a lier, he'll say "what about this one, what about that one" and you end up going round is cycles. And if that person is arrogant and know it all... then he'll bombard you with a lot of "his knowledge", just intimidate... What is the basisSo I don't want to sit here and argue. If we can't establish our basis, our witness, then we'll not agree. To me, my witness is: the Quran, Hadiths and the Bible. I said before thatRemember there is no court in the world in which the judge convicts a person before interviewing him, provided the accused is available and honors the summons.
