You can inquire via mail too they have an auto reply service for this. Send mail to bill@kplc.co.ke with your A/C No. as the subject, nothing in the mail body.

yes, not sure this has been effected. And if at all they have, they must have given a grace period etc etc.

Anyway, I have just checked the website. Looks quite organized.. Never knew you could do all these things. I'm also Impressed.

For SMS query, send your account number to 95551. You will get it pronto.

For complaints, blackouts and such-like, call 95551. They answer the phone pronto. But don't call from an Airtel line - you'll be charged Sh40 per minute! All other networks charge usual rates

But, shouldn't this be a free-call service? After all, what doe KPLC do with the Sh240 fixed charge?

Gets me thinking.. I received a bill for Dec whose meter reading is higher than current meter reading..what is the trick

at times they don't read the metre, they do an approximation but this is catered for once they do the actual reading at a futuristic time. you've basically just paid in advance

@Theking,

If I've been paying 2k but the estimated bill they sent me comes to 60k, how do I have them rectify that apart from going to electricity house? Paying 50k+ in advance to this monopolistic monocotyledons should be condemned vehemently.
