guys,

i must be very green in this,but how do you keep a car well maintained without washing the engine? i have a d4 engine and i understand it is similar to GDI so i would be very interested.

....and while at that,maybe someone will have an idea about this....if i drive for about 20kms at over 70 and then reach very slow/standstill traffic,the idling sometimes feels jerky even in neutral..you know like when you release the clutch too fast in a manual car. this does not happen when driving beyond mtito (towards nairobi) so i assume it is related to altitude. i am hesistant (or more correctly stingy) to pay 6k for the computer diagnostic. no warning lights on panel. should i stop being such a mkono gum? please advise. asante sana

In a previous thread (my first car) I'd intimated that I was importing a Cedia st. wagon for Wify as a surprise but she had changed her mind after talking about a cedia for 3 months. She's finally settled for a golf which I got her on sunday,that's why I'm dispossing the cedia. It's a damn fast car and I drove it myself from coast and I was beating fielders hands down...

Thanks for the info. could you give a little more detail....what is a 'loose panel' ...and 'slow knock'? can an electronic diagnosis detect a problem in the gearbox especially when no warning lights appear on the dash? how come when i drive in nairobi and environs there is no juddering? the problem occurs only in coast.
