Next should be UN staff for tax on their salaries and duty-free vehicle imports. They enjoy the services and infrastructure but are parasites who contribute nothing to it.

Those salaries are paid "off-shore", you have no claim to tax them as they pay taxes in their home countries.

But duty-free cars....hmmmmm...those red plate guys are the biggest idiots on the roads after matatus...tax them!!

Let them pay...they don't do much economic activity.

They are a drain on the economy.

Wait until we get attacked by another country...

Don't tell us they will be short of ammunition due to lack of cheap boozePray

they would at least not be too drunk to fight.

You clearly all do not fully understand your KDF. That is all I am going to say at this point.

KRA is wrong as a matter of principle. Going after everything in sight just to hit a target is counterproductive. How much tax revenue is Afco going to bring in the larger scheme of things? They are using simple arithmetic and little to no economics; they go ooh, this sector is moving 20 billion, we can get 500 mill easy here, slap on the regulation then what was a 20 billion sector drops to 12 billion because some consumers are priced out. Isn't this what is happening to processed milk?
KRA, please leave the military alone.

This is a proposal by Nyong'o. I wonder if Senate has any right to legislate on such matters. Their duty is bills to do with devolution only!

This alcohol tax thing is really bugging you right? I am not against the taxation of it. Actually, even with the VAT the alcohol will still be way cheaper than where you buy yours. What I am seeing is that you misunderstand the KDF in terms of what they do. If you knew what they stand for then you wouldn't be yapping like a layman. Talk to those who are in the "system" so to speak and you will learn a lot. Just to "pasua mbarika kidogo". While "civilians" were grappling with Mututho and his alcohol laws the military had its own version for years that is strictly adhered to. Misconceptions have been there about the military for awhile now. I think it is time you tried to understand the people to whom you entrust the protection of your freedoms.
