@Startingover.

Thats some fantastic attitude you got there. Keep it up and you will live and enjoy your full life

I guess if you can't win with facts, you can always pen bile-laced,xenophobic rants to distract everyone.

Telling others of your status.... Good or Bad?

Disadvantages (mainly)

discrimination (stigma)
subtle rejection in social scene

Both lead to self-isolation.

Advantages

you get support dealing with health and emotions

An example of 2 Kenyans (X & Y) who may be living with hiv (in UK). Both possibly on treatment.

X has made her status known and now is rarely seen in Kenyan social scenes.

Y has always denied being HIV+ (although there is compelling evidence to suggest otherwise). She continues to socialise with other Kenyan & always seems happy.

Remeber that once you tell people that you are HIV+,they dont forget!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

In my opinion,if people are advised not to announce their status (if +ve),they are more likely to go and get tested.

Does this sound reasonable?

Be discipline.
For men, discipline yourself. Restrain from thinking that you must have every skirt wearer you see.
There will always be an attractive woman.
But make conscious decision to be contented with your woman.
If one is not enough for you (we know there could be a reason why you need more),please select another one.
But take responsibility. Make it formal. Maintain her.

For women,maintain chastity. Respect yourself.
Don't be flattered by every Dick or Tom or whoever.
Men will always try you. Please remember that God expect you to always be pure.
Being 'entered' by any other man not your husband is disgrace to womanhood. You throw away your piety.

Otherwise, there's no other way to control this pandemic.
If we continue the current lifestyle, with loose moral and self-respect,
then we will only stop when we realize that we are all infected or affected.
Only children (they are lucky) will remain.

Our time is rotten so much that you can't even trust.

If as a man you can't be trusted even by your own brothers, inlaws etc.

How can you expect to have a wife/girl that respects herself in front of your inlaws or workmate or boss or driver?

How many people dirtify their families?

Some have given birth to children with brothers of her husband!

When we condem this,we are looked at as backward or primitive.
