I'm surprised on one has set the fact straight on this issue. Man United paid 23.5m for Fellaini. I repeat 23.5 - the exact amount that was stated in the expired release clause. Although this is taking to far, and has an extremely slim chance of ever happening, how about having Sir Alex as the first Director of Football? What?? Can't a brother dream?

And by the way, how have Arsenal fans survived for 8 years?? A month of comedy and a loss to Liverpool is TOO MUCH for any Man United fan to take. Arsenal have been living like this for 8 years!! Man, Arsenal fans must be strong. That or they went past their elastic limit long time ago!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

The original plan which backfired was to get both Fellani and Bainesa at about 40m which would have been cheap. But then again, it has happened and now we wait for his performance.

He is very good during corners at both ends and he had 12 goals last season, 11 in EPL. That would be a plus.

Though i find him too rough for my liking. Time will tell.

@ Maich....Man Utd paid £27.5m for Fellaini, the 4m you are talking about was actually a creation of the media. Everton have already clarified the issue

"For those asking: No Felli did NOT pay £4m of the transfer fee! The buying club (Man Utd) will pay £27.5m." Everton's director of communications Alan Myers

Who cares how much Man Utd eventually spent on Falleini, so what if we overpaid by £4 million it would only end up lining the Glazer's pockets anyway.
