How can we be so complacent?

We need to be intolerant of tolerance. Break down this habit of accepting and moving on.

I read the below from somewhere:
The Cosby Show... the first African Americans who are not drivers... but dad doctor, mum lawyer, and kids in college.
It changed how whites saw black Americans.
It changed blacks saw themselves.
It sent out positive message to future generation of America.

Then a decade ago, US drama 24
depicted bad white presidents and good black presidents, strong and ethical.
After 4 sessions of 24, Obama became president.
Did 24 put Obama into power? No.
Was it coincidence? No.

It was shift of cultural tolerance!
Young people learnt to achieve all inclusive world.

I refuse to accept and move on. We must never give up complaining, picketing and questioning where this country is headed. The day we do so, it will mean that we're doomend and all is lost. The complaints we make here on wazua, fb, twitter, karumaindo etc eventually get to the ears of those concerned.

The farmer gets a raw deal because we have failed to empower him or her by denying him the ability to market his produce directly. The likes of KCC were meant to do so but have failed.

There is hope though. Last week I read about a mobile phone application that lets potato farmers interact directly with the end user (hotels and restaurants) and obtain much better prices than what they get from the middlemen.

something is not right here, milk prices shot up before the elections and it has been going up

1] You can go to the street screaming "Haki yetu! We want the government to take action and reduce milk prices to XXX!"

2] You can buy a "grade"cow @150k and start producing your own milk and selling the remainder.... by the way there are very many "milk" millionaires who are doing this.

3] You can "accept and move on"

@chemos it my look far fetched but the concoction story was a business manipulation. Think this way,
To increase mkt share for the packed milk introduce the scare tactic that hawked milk is not real milk but chemical.

As every Wanjiku tries to be a budding farmer who has one dairy cow which produces excess milk for her consumption and has to sell the rest. Mkt share for Tuzo/KCC shrinks.

Tell Odhiambo, Wanjiku's milk is purely chemicals hence don't touch thus increased demand for Tuzo/KCC leading to price elasticity and viola milk price increases and a monopolist created as wanjiku has to sell her excess milk to a company at a throw away price and who in turn has got a ready demanding market.

All i am saying this is manipulation for the benefit of one business entity.

For once we can stop consuming milk lets go on a cold strike, where will the milk producers take the milk? Humans r the only adult animals who consume milk way past their childhood, we cant die for lack of consuming this white stuff, moving on is not a solution (this is not an election).

Newspapers to cost sh. 60bob.

This is the best time to get into the milk processing business by starting a small dairy. You should be looking at the enormous opportunities this situation presents.
