as some people say, "kazi ni kazi..."

Taking the debate further... Are these shows by the people of the lake or people of the mountain?

Far much better than the others who have live shows with donkeys.

Standard always reports stale news.
This was featured last year on tv and I doubt it's going to stop.
no need stressing over what people enjoy doing.

Treat the cause not the effects. If we can't deal with the cause, then all we will keep doing is recycling story year in and out.
The user (players)must display willingness to stop or else we find ourselves fighting a losing battle.
Kes 300/day is a lot of money for the average grown kenyan, how much a 15 yr old girl in the slum?
She's making more at night than what her dad/mum brings home for food.
So how can you convince this girl to stop the trade?
Even if you found her something better to do, she will go back to supplement the income at night (double what she earns during the day)-it happens in this city, working ladies during the day, pros at night and you wonder how people own more than they can afford with their incomes.

Very true actually. I'm reminded of what has been happening in Afghanistan. There have been programmes to entice farmers away from cultivation of opium poppy to other crops, but the farmers keep going back to opium coz the authorities are unable to guarantee the incomes.
