This time between midnight and 6am is a nightmare for upcountry buses....this bus could have been coming from Mombasa with the same driver all the way, you can imagine the fatigue....so sad!!!!

Yes...I once talked to a driver who told me one driver of the company he works for drives singlehandedly all the way from msa to Nairobi...

I thought this is doable? however Mombasa to Homabay is crazy...

...sorry...meant to say Msa to Kisumu...

Goodness me..i have shed a tear for the departed souls. Very needless demise. May the almighty give courage to the families to accept this very painful loss.

Where did this accident happen? Which section of the road? --- this seems like the kijabe ridge or am i wrong?

I use this road regularly and for sure these nyamira express are just ..... i have no word!

Generally; unless the car is in too much speed, it is not a bad road as people are putting it here.

Sorry for the bereaved!

I have observed that the bus City to city ply the North eastern route I thinK Garissa....Might the bus be New to the Homabay route?

Another thing ...One witness claims the driver stopped him and informed him of the accident..saying people were dying in the valley he had a slight cut on the face.

I think the driver Jumped after hitting the guard rails.....The police claim there were no signs that the driver braked or tried to navigate around the corner...he just went straight... the momentum of a speeding Bus made the impact of the crash/rolling so severe that many people lost their lives.

Unfortunately, we shall mourn for a few days, politicians will attend burials to make political statements, some hired n drunk goons will heckle, the following day media will get political news to report n we shall go back n wait for the next one to happen. One of the dark sides of our beautiful country.

Exactly what will happen. I guess its time a petition was started this is just too much.

Pole sana. Road patrols (24 hrs) is needed on our highways, not occasional 'crackdowns' and 'operations'. Anyone found breaking the law should face heavy penalty. Some weeks ago witnessed a near deadly accident between nakuru and naivasha. Mini bus (metrotrans, not sure about the name) recklessly overtaking at high speed and forced us off the road. Such acts should be punished whether they cause an accident or not. Road patrols not just road blocks..
Poleni sana.
