Not sure if what I'm reading on pg 5 of Business Daily is true. Scangroup, not in an election year. Scangroup overall revenue dropped only 4%. But Operating Profit (excluding Nigeria effect) down 85%.

This share is now not overvalued, it is just preposterous http://www.scangroup.biz/pdf/Gr...Results%E2%80%932013.pdf

Is a warning a must for half year?

And some guys here were saying that ScanGroup is cheap not so long ago! SMH

Pray Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Mgema akisifiwa pombe, hulitia maji. Now these guys are diluting what used to be good stock selling to outside investors whose intention is to bring it down then plan a takeover and delist. It is synonymous to infecting a dairy cow with a disease then buying the cow at a throw away price, then treat it and back to normal and make money!

1H results do not require a Profit Warning since these are unaudited results. 2H expected to be better BUT the PER gives me nightmares!

Though ScanGroup has a real business. WPP knew about the 1H 2013 loss yet went ahead & bought more shares at a 30% premium + a share swap. I am staying far away from HAFR until it touches 8-ish levels. Even then, I prefer KK at 8-ish vs HAFR.

I can see why KK at 8/= is a fair buy.

I would say the same for SCAN below 40/= noting track record, WPP capital, CEO. Did you know that SCAN makes one-third of entire group revenues from 4 clients? (Safaricom, EABL, Unilever, Reckit)

Now HomeAfrika d'oh!
...may make the @guru speculative money like MSC. My lack of abilities directs me to keep off both stocks for a long while.

Politics is the main reason for the massive decline in HY13 EPS. Company dint benefit from the political boom. If anything, the political boom scared away Scangroup business
