There are numerous inconsistencies in religion that if you try to dig deeper, they tell u NOT TO QUESTION GOD. The intelligent hit a brick wall n walk away.

@simo ask. I invite you to ask those questions you have.
And promise to reflect on my answers, even reconsider, research objectively with open heart and open mind the evidence I will share with you.

Shoot...

Here is one @AlphDoti ..why sometimes are innocent children born of ordinary parents afflicted with terrible and painful diseases? There are cases in papers that bring tears to your eyes. ..why does a loving God allow that to happen to little innocent souls?

@quicksand you ask why some people are born healthy, some in poor family, some in rich family?

1. Allah says in the Quran, sura ankabut 29:2
"Do you think just by saying we believe, will Allah let you go? And Allah will not test you?"

This verse says that mere lip profession of Faith is not enough.
It must he tried and tested in the real turmoil of life.
The test will be applied in all kinds of circumstances, to see whether we can strive constantly.

2. Allah says in Quran sura Baqara 2:155
"Surely, We'll test you with fear and hunger, loss of property or lives, or loss of fruits of your toil.
And only those who will pass, those of patience and perseverance
"

3. Allah says in sura Anfal 8:28
"your wealth and your progeny (your children) is a test for you"

4. So in Islam we believe that this life is a test for hereafter
And Allah tests different people at different ways, and depending upon surroundings.
And based on what Allah gives you, he will test you accordingly.

For example:
- if question paper is difficult, the teacher will mark that paper leniently.
- if the question paper is easy, then the teacher will mark the paper more strictly.

NICK VUJICIC - No arms, No legs, No worries!

The Rich Are Different: More Money, Less Empathy

Hmmm ...but look at it from the point of greatly suffering child. What is it being tested for? For some of them, cognition in things like knowing about God, good and evil, has not begun. A kid is just a clean slate, a canvas on which humans and the environment will make impressions.
It is just pain (for the child). Why?

Evil, and good, are inherent in nature.

Humanity is about harmony with nature.

Focus is on the present. Seeing the evil in us, and with us, and transforming.

5. So regarding the logical concept of why
- some people are born in rich family,
- some people in poor family

I like to refer you to the system of Islam, the third pillar says
every rich person should give 2.5% of his savings in charity every lunar year
Maybe very few rich people will actually give.
Majority may give only part of it, so in charity, they get less marks.
Some may not give nothing, they get zero marks on charity.

6. For the poor man who does not anything does not have to give zakat
So in this (zakat) he gets full mark.

People think oh poor man, but God says wealth is a test for you
The prophet said it is difficult for rich man to enter heaven.
Jesus (peace be upon him) said the same.

So wealth is a difficult test!!

For example 2:
- if in a certain year, a very difficult exam comes.
- then if in the following year, no exam come, then you should be happy
- because difficult questions didn't come
- you do not cry
- but we human beings, we think opposite
- we say, oh so and so is poor man, he is a sad person
- it may be good for him, because the difficult test for wealth he is not undergoing
- if he had the wealth, the test of wealth is very difficult!
- maybe he would have failed

So Allah tests different people in different ways.

@AlphaDoti, you are making scholarly arguments, based on edicts and rules of religious books. I am trying to ask from a compassion point of view.
Let me draw a parallel here. A man is blessed with a huge family, with many beautiful boy and girl infants, all of whom he loves dearly. If an infant getting a terrible affliction is like pulling a charcoal poker from the kiln
and piercing a kid with it in the abdomen, how would he go about it? Why go on about it? Because this is the scenario of compassion similar to what religion asks us to believe.
Why doesn't God intervene and save innocent kids from immense suffering?
...picture an evil person intrudes your home and starts battering your children, would you watch resignedly and say 'meeh, the world is evil' or 'this is a test'?

I will answer the question about COMPASSION
Surprisingly, we see compassion all over!!

Why am I saying this?
Because God is sustainer of the whole world.
The sustenance of whole world itself is based on Mercy of God and His Compassion for every thing He has created.

Let me explain further
In my way of life, which I believe in (Islam), compassion is central.

In fact, the Quran stresses certain key words, which are repeated very many times
These are: "rahmah", which means to have "rehema" i.e. compassion, benevolence, justice and wisdom.
Rahmah is arabic word that means "compassion" or "mercy".

To make you understand:
- all people (good or bad) get the sunshine and warmth
- all people (good or bad) breath the air
- all people (good or bad) get rain
- etc

This is compassion from the Creator, whom we call Allah in Arabic, God in English.

Muslims in the world, begins everything by reciting
"Bism-i-Allah al-Rahman al-Rahim"
This is to say "begin in the name of Allah, Who is Compassionate and Merciful"

The first chapter of Quran
second verse says Al-Rahman al-Rahim (The Compassionate, the Merciful).

So what are we saying?
To me God's way is justice
God's way is of protecting the rights of the poor and exploited.

There is a chapter which talks about justice
Quran chapter 4:75 says: "And what reason you have not to fight in the way of Allah, and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, who say: Our Lord, take us out of this town, whose people are oppressors, and grant us from Thee a friend, and grant us from Thee a helper."

@quicksand I wanted to post this separately so that my oint does not get lost in long paragraph:
1. "rahmah", is "rehema" in swahili, which means compassion, benevolence, justice and wisdom. All creatures get this from the Creator, with no condition e.g. rain, sunshine, air, land etc
2. "Rahim" is "huruma" in swahili, which means mercy. Only those who obey the Creator will get this on judgement day. So if you obey His commands, then that day, you'll get His mercy.

I hope we are clear about compassion? smile smile
