it will cost you at least 120000 for a 3 bedroom house to install all that stuff and you charge after 3 or 4 days.you will save so much for your electricity bills.do the math if you pay 3k to 10k per month for elec for 25 years....a lot yes yes.time to take charge

The solar power installation cost for that amount (120K) cannot even run a 5 cu-ft fridge,forget the iron box!!!KPLC is still here to chew us albeit for some years to come.

was down that road about a year ago. to install a system to run kawa dometic appliances plus fridge was about 350K..... still way out of reach.. so opted for grid power only 35k But ouch!! the Bills zinaniumiza!!!!

@ lexus,

it is cheaper to install solar electricity to run small loads (lighting only)...this may not go beyond 300watts assuming that all the lights are switched on and on condition that you use the low energy lamps (20watts or less)....however if you start considering other appliances like Tv,fridges,ironing,microwaves then your power demand rises sharply to above 2000watts,and like mukiha says you would require 1m plus for this....

Kwa tv news jana. A certain lady had a 21' colour tv running on solar energy that cost her 60k.
