Two issues come out from the Men's marathon:

1. Doing all your training in a cold place (Iten in this case) while the Championships while be held in a hot place (Moscow) is not a good idea.
2. If you seriously want a gold medal in the men's marathon, you need to select players who have not participated in any race for at least 6 months. The last time Kiprotich participated in a major race was in the London Olympics last year. The last time the Ethiopians who participated in the Championship ran was in February.

this will be a bad day for team kenya the 5000 women is coming up and it has a very very weak team ethiopia might just have a clean sweep...
