@mweke. seriously, what's the Net asset value of this share?

Embedded Value is the better though conservative measure of this. Its KES 4.9B

when I divide with 98m shares. I'm getting 50.00 bob per share.

I currently have fair value of this counter at 2 times that ... Financial performance of this company will continue to outperform the industry in the foreseable future

Runda plots coming online in H2 as anticipated....shall definitely contribute to full year profits. Ksh 100 is starting to look a bit easier to achieve

Currently only draw back is the Insurance Act that caps foreign ownership at 66%, but i believe with the ammendment due in Sept....Sanlam must be salivating!!

Pan Africa Insurance closes Sanlam Kenya acquisition

Pan Africa Insurance has bought out the Kenyan operations of South Africa-based assets manager Sanlam Investment, concluding a phased acquisition that started in 2008.

The Nairobi Securities Exchange listed insurer said that it had acquired 72.5 per cent shares of Sanlam and a further 10 per cent stake owned by a former chief executive of the investment firm.

The acquisition gives the insurance firm a free hand in the management of funds mobilised through its life business.

“The transaction will result in Sanlam Investment Management Kenya being a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. This will enable easier distribution of investment products by the group’s financial advisors,” said Pan Africa’s chief executive Tom Gitogo.

7th nov 2013 from the dailies "Cheap deposits and loans raise Family Bank profits 137pc" ..... happy reports still flowing in.a healthy share i must admit....,but market sentiments are funny sometimes, supply outruns demand by far.
No diagnosis,no pragnosis,no pragnosis no profit......Jesse livermore

a massive 155,100 shares have moved today.....seems the seller who was offloading 147,000 shares last week at 70 bob finally found a buyer.....or can we speculate Sanlam is taking over? Interesting counter indeed....
@magnate i was worried about that huge supply chunk but it seems its almost out of the way;expect a race towards 100 bob soon
