Handed in my form today. Surprisingly it came through the post yesterday. Will be taking my peanuts and moving on. This is a case where the majority have screwed the minority with the advantage of information not available to the market.

Henceforth i will stick to the big Caps where the market has a say.

...and with my small shareholding, am staying put. I will be a minority shareholder in the delisted entity. Does someone have an estimate of the value of their fibre optic? I think there is value in the future of this company and truth be told - the Somens may be getting a shareholding in DD through a disguised investment vehicle. Otherwise, how foolish would DD be to buy a 100% of a lemon at 14?
...When they count the men who built Kenya, will you be in the list? I choose to go long term....

I am still hanging on to mine. Let them delist. I will enjoy the ride. No wonder they had to suspend trading because I would have bought more.

To those hanging on, please tell us the experience in a few years. you can be our wazua(warriors) case study.
coz this won't be the last takeover. we can learn from each other.

I have seen a few similarities btn kk and access. company making losses, share goes down to a dirt cheap level. company recovers, company bought out. kk may be heading the same way in the next few years

I wish i had like 1k shares only i would have held on. But mine were too many, too much of my money would have been held with uncertainity. Shark swallows omena.

@vvs surely can you compare KQ to AK? One is in the loss bracket and the other in profit bracket. Did I say we wait for 35? once again i emphasize 14 is a throw away price even DD knows it and they have stated clearly they might increase the offer pice, why not push for the increase, what harm is there?

I think what @Jamani is trying to emphasise is that AK has got its footing back and is in the right path with potential for serious positive growth and consolidation of development in the next 3-5 years which DD is taking advantage of while investors who have stayed for long are being denied because of the Somens.

My investment is not much in this but i am going nowhere. I gave in during Uniliver who had 75% but not this!!! Even if it goes back to 6 bob sawa.

Am with you on this one.

Why extend for a day? Ati holiday!! They are trying to hit the 75% mark. If they don't and the company is not de-listed and it has only hardcore shareholders who are not interested in selling, what do you think the price will be? and if DD zubaas, how much do you think they will have to offer the remaining shareholders after the price heads north?

Just asking. They better hope they hit the mark!
