@decisive: even the angels: remember how angel Gabriel greeted Mary? Look for Kiswahili Bible.

@all: reiner is not trading one thing for another.

She just want to practice the right thing - follow God's will (Exodus 20:6) and Jesus's teachings.

@reiner: All said an done,I will summarize by saying Judaism,Christianity and Islam have full agreement over most of the commandments which deal with the following:

1). Thou shalt have no other gods before me

- Submit to God just like all Prophets of God.

- Submission means to surrender. That's the origin of Aslam.

- Jesus never in his lifetime asked anyone to worship him, neither did he ever claim to be part of a Trinity.

- If you choose Christianity, then follow the teachings of Jesus. The words of Paul and everyone else would be accepted or rejected according to their conformity to these Jesus's teachings.

2). Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,or that is in the earth beneath,or that is in the water under the earth.

- That means those Christians who God's will (Exodus 20:6) should not have images of god in their churches.

3). Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them,nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

- avoid bowing down to images and carving that you see in churches.

- Jesus never asked any one to bow to him.

- Jesus never asked anyone to kneel down to the cross

- Jesus told satan only God is to be bowed down to.

4). Don't murder

5). Don't steal

6). Don't bear false witness

7). Honoring parents and

8). Love your neighbours

- don't disturb them

- Do you remember what Jesus said about those who shout at street corners?

9). Muslims also believe that Israelites were asked to observe sabath.

10. Jesus never in his lifetime mentioned an original sin

11). Most of rituals in churches are man made/lies

- Christmass i.e. Bible does not mention when Jesus was born. But we know he was conceived in June (Luka 2:1)

- it's not bad to celebrate, but it's good to know that it's not written in the Bible

- father christmass,

12). Judaism,Christianity and Islam do not oppose Jesus

- Jesus prayed to only God,every day, many times a day,did ablution before prayer

13). Love your woman (love includes support and respect )

14). Understand your man (note I never said love your man,but understand and respect him)

@Njunge

Assalamualikum

Read the article-surprisingly no proof given-baseless propaganda.

Key facts-

Why would a man (Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him) of his stature wait for 40 years before giving a message if it were just to copy and paste the bible.

He could not read or write-would thus hasve to rely on others to give him the biblical stories!

If he was false-Islam would have crumbled in years-no months-after his death.Yet today the results are with us. From Paltry number of 313 in 613 AD we are at 1.2 Bn,an still counting!

Read excerpt below and the link: http://www.sultan.org/books/muhammad.pdf

He was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without Pope's

pretensions,Caesar without the legions of Caesar: without a

standing army,without a bodyguard,without a palace,without

a fixed revenue. If ever any man had the right to say that he

ruled by the right divine,it was Mohammad, for he had all the

power without its instruments and without its supports.

- Bosworth Smith

Mohammad and Mohammadanism,London 1874,p 92.

If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astounding

results are the three criteria of human genius, who could dare

to compare any great man in modem history with Muhammad?

Hey all. First of all,i'm a girl,so don't 'hey man' or 'brother' me!(that is on on a light note)

I said in a previous post why i wanted to convert, but y'all busy hurling stones and bricks brats at each other,u completely missed my post. Like someone said before, most of us just follow religion coz our parents do.

I tried very hard to be a good Christian, but i never felt like i connected to God. At work,i met some Muslim ladies, who seemed very religious. Muslims are required to pray 5 times a day, right? For some reason to me,it seems it's easier to follow the laid down guidelines of Islam. The ladies at work slowly introduced me to their way of life,it seemed ok. I have seen and met their families. I have been meeting the certain sheikh everyday. He is trying very hard,he even gave me a hijab as a gift!
For the first time,i have understood the trinity, and a lot of Christian tenets i had never understood before. This post has made me learn a lot,i have even started reading my bible again.
My family is simply unbelievable! They called for a meeting kesho, and i am not invited.I presume i will be the subject of discussion. At first i thought they were over reacting;that they would get over it,i'm beginning to think i was wrong.
@ AlphaDoti,Jammo,Ngwono,et al,thanks for ur comments, especially the 'infinite God reaching out to finite man' point and Njunge, albeit ur comments are weird but still make sense.
G'Day y'all

Reiner,I'm confused .... have you converted to muslim already or are you waiting for your family to decide your fate tommorow?

Advice :

Follow Jesus,He is the way truth and life,no one shall see His father except through Him.

I mean fundamental analysis, you get me?

Fundamental analysis of a business involves analyzing its financial statements and health, its management and competitive advantages, and its competitors

@ Reiner: so?? What did you decide? I was very interested in ur story, coz i'm in an almost similar predicament. Whatever you decide, you are going to influence a certain decision in my life.

@ Rassa and baksha: Would you guyz marry a Chrsitian woman, based purely on the fact tht the Quran allows it(Women of the Book;as it calls us). If u meet a good woman, who you have a great connection with, would u marry her?

This has been a very impressive read! I have learnt a lot, both good and bad, for example the whole argument here from Muslims is based on the trinity, thus making Christianity not the true religion, and also that Islam is growing, so that must mean that its the true religion. On the other hand the Christians don't believe Mohammed was a prophet, and I must say Njunge has given very valid points. Some quick facts, among the Abrahamic faiths, Judaism was the first one, then from it came Christianity, then much much much later, came Islam. So when a Muslim claims that Jesus was a Muslim, and even go further to say Abraham was also Muslim, you know you are dealing with a very deceitful and misleading religion. I am a very open minded person, but I detest liars, and Islam will lie and connive, just to get converts, how you can claim that since Jesus bowed down in prayer and washed himself with water, is empirical evidence that he was Muslim, is just beyond me. Islam came way after Jesus died, great job Njunge for calling Alphadoti out on that. The fact that Islam is willing to use lies, just to convert people, is reason enough for me to never convert to it. I have a Muslim fiend, and she casually tells me about Islam and tries to convert me slowly, like was done to Reiner. I usually act dumb and listen to her arguments, and its amazing the information you can get when you act dumb. So far she has confessed to me that Muslims do infact hate Jews and that Jews are evil people who will never make it to heaven. What a load of bull, first of all Islam, as is Christianity, is based on Judaism, without Judaism, there would be no Islam. What amazed me is she was willing to give me answers to a certain exam, yet five minutes earlier she was talking to me about how virtuous Islam is and how they have to pray 5 times a day bla bla bla... I thought Christians were hypocrites, but this girl has taken hypocrisy to another level. My next goal is to go to a mosque, possibly speak to an Imam, and be fed more lies. I pity people who convert to this religion, as it stands I'm more agnostic than Christian, because Christianity has become a business with pastors focusing more on tithes and offerings than actually feeding the flock. I usually judge a church by how many times they use the verse ' the Lord loves a cheerful giver', the more its used, the more I conclude that this is just a business and usually never come back, and don't give offerings either. But Islam is one religion I will never believe in.
