What I can say is,Christianity is confusing;holy spirit,trinity,God the father and son,christ,- Among this who is the one GOD.

@decisive,trinity is complex and confusing even to Christians. Why not just believe in one GOD and forget about this trinity.

@reiner,Islam does not legalise killing of innocent lives. And Islam is not Terrorism. We have Muslims who died in the Nairobi Bomb blast,am sure you know this. Sister,this life is full of challenges. There is no action you take in life that doe not have effects. Even simple investments have+ve and -ve impacts. We have seen alot of people disgree with their parents/relatives on simple things like choosing a life partner(marriage). The same applies to changing your religion - I mean choosing the true religion. The relatives will reject you initially,but slowly show them what Islam is all about. They may end up being Muslims. Therefore, I encourage you to be strong enough. On the day of judgement,everyone will be on his own.

...at bashka... The Gospel of the Cross does sound like foolishness doesn't it? Faith is not based on logic... To Abraham God said 'Come.. I will show u to where I call...'..and Abraham followed. The same call is made to us through the Cross of Calvary.. but our response is 'Show me first to where You call..and i will come.' ... Without faith..u can't see God...no matter what u call HIM.. It is foolishness to belive that God could be man... It is foolishness to belive that a jewish Rabai was crucified on the cross and shed his blood so that i could be saved. It is foolishness that without the eatin of His body..and drinkin of His blood i cannot enter into heaven... It is all foolishness. But i choose to be foolish. It's better than perishing.

The race is not always to the swift..nor the battle always to the strong..nor food always to the wise..nor riches always to the intelligent..favor is not always to the skilled..or learned..but time and chance happens to all. Ecl9:5..

... I think my Christian brothers have put it very clearly,unless God the Father,God the Son and God the Holy Spirit reveal to you their mystery to understand and accept,you cannot.

sorry to say this to you my friend,but the truth is,many are called but few are chosen. Probably you are one among them in either group. I pray that you are chosen. But if you are not,no amount of explaining will help you understand

Religion is the biggest threat to world peace.

In the Islamic heaven - lots or Arabs,Africans,and small numbers of other peoples,very few Japanese,Native Americans,Aborigines,Indians

In the Christian heaven - lots of White people,some Africans,very few Japanese,Native Americans,Chinese,Indians

In the Indian heaven - just Indians

Just goes to show how ridiculous the whole religion thing is. It will never work.

@Mkristo,but a religion should not be complex to understand. You mean believing in ONE GOD is hard?

...it is already prooving difficult to you,to undertsand the one God in three persons,God the Father,God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. These are not three Gods but one God.

In layman's language,you can be Bashk the husband,Bashk the father and Bashk the son. But please,know this,that only faith and acceptance of God's nature can open your heart to understand the truth about God,just like jamo says,the knowledge about God is foolishness to those who do not believe.

@bashka,

Believing in one God has never been the contention.The issue is whom to believe.God's prophets or some folklores as told by friends of a self styled 'prophet'......At least we all know that Isaiah and other prophets foretold of the coming of Christ......Mohammed woke up one morning and declared himself prophet......would you believe his stories??

@all who don't believe in God,
It takes more faith to believe that there's no God than it does to believe that there's One. Christianity never claims to be a 'popular' religion. If anything,the Bible says, 'Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction,and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life,and only a few find it. ' . . .and that Jesus is the Way,the Truth and the Life. I can't convince anyone otherwise but God Himself will reveal Himself to you. I once didn't believe that He existed but He 'somehow' revealed Himself to me.

@Bashka and Alph,
I already tried to respond to the issue about the Trinity,albeit feebly. @Jammo said in another post,true Christianity is about the infinite God reaching down to finite man (by His grace),other world religions (Islam included) have a set of Laws to be followed in an attempt for the finite man to reach the infinite God. Which makes more logical sense? Christians are saved by God's grace through our faith (in Christ Jesus) so that we may do good works. We do not do good works to earn God's grace,coz then,how do you know when you've done enough good? I am absolutely convinced that Allah (as revealed in the Quran) and Jehovah are not the same. Jehovah spoke out explicitly that Jesus is His Beloved Son,in whom He was pleased in and that we should listen to Him. Allah doesnt.

Finally,if my God was just big enough for me to completely figure him out,then he wouldn't be big enough to be worshiped. Thank God,the Jehovah is bigger than any mind or science. Again,let me re-post what I'd written earlier on the Trinity and let me have your thoughts as to whether it makes sense:

'. . . I believe in One God,the creator of heaven and earth. The order in creation gives a peek on His nature. A human is said to be made up of body,soul and spirit (3 in 1),space is defined using the dimensions of length,width and height (3 in 1),time is made up of the past,the present and the future (3 in 1). The sustainer of living organisms on earth is water which exists in solid (ice),liquid and gaseous form (steam). . .again,3 states of a substance with the same chemical composition. God is Father,Son and Holy Spirit (3 yet one)'

AMG gave a very good explanation about the trinity.If one cannot understand that water,the one we use in our daily life exist in three forms,a concept that is tought to children in early primary & ngwono exist in Body Saul and Spirit,then to that person,life as a whole is complication.there are so many arears that proves clearly that Jesus existed and was seen by the likes of Abraham long before he was born in Bethlehem......but can one understand that before understanding the first two?

Can one get the logic or the difference between Jesus Christ & Christ Jesus?

Surely.i understand the importance of Faith!

Without Holiness no man shall see God.Dear God,mould me to be a vessel of honour at this End times,to remain Obedient to your Word in all situations.Amen!

What I find interesting about christians is their quick job to judge other religions.......actually that happens with all religions.........yet,they are quick to forget how to exist with what is there around them. when is the last time you planted a tree in your farm so as to keep your diety happy enough to give you rain......Oh,no let us pray for rain,it shall come.........I don't care what religion you are in,if you do not take care of nature,no amount of holy waters,facing the kaaba,facing mount kenya and kesharing will stop what will come to you.........Those were the basic tennants of living on earth. Your religions just make it easy for you to forget to be responsible for all that is going on around you......The african traditions were more christian than all those churches you go to combined and they knew not mohammed or christ............As for those who believe that the Bible was written by some golden hand from heaven,I would advice you to stop going to your theology school. It was written by human beings and funny thing is that even in this day and age,we have different versions of the bible (ala the different stories on christ's death)......Now I await to be told I am a devil worshipper.
