As the debate continues, allow me to try and bring some more light about Christianity.

It is important for everybody to understand that true Christianity acknowledges Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of their lives and that they are not ashamed about it. Jesus is the way,the truth and the life and no one goes to Father except through Him (Jesus) John 14:6. I say this because many people have been deceived to believe that everybody who has a Biblical name like James,Peter or John and that he goes a ‘Church’,somewhere he is a Christian. Such are the people who claim to be Christians but do not live according to the teachings of Christ.

Friends, please never equate such to be true Christians. If somebody claims to be a Christian and willingly commits sin or chooses to live a sinful life, then that person is not a Christian and has no personal relationship with Jesus Christ as his or her personal saviour. That person needs to be converted to Christianity.

Why Jesus Christ,or why a personal relationship with Him?

When God created the universe including the first man and woman, sin came to all creation out of the disobedience of our first parents,Adam and Eve. This effectively separated man from God. In brief, that is the reason why God sent His son Jesus Christ to be condemned on behalf of our sinfulness (the sin we inherited from our first parents) so that God might accept us back into a relationship with Him.

This however is not automatic, since it has to come from an individual choosing to accept that that sacrifice was enough to be forgiven and agree to follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ for a completely new life. Not only that, but we need to practice those teachings in our daily living since we have rejected our old sinful lifestyle and nature and have embraced Jesus Christ and have been reconciled back to God.

Friends, all this is done out ones free will and by faith, that is,believing in the words of Jesus Christ and accepting that God gave Him out for us to be a sacrifice so that we might be reconciled to God,just as it was in the beginning.

After this life, whether by death or by the return of Christ Jesus, those who accepted and believed will be ushered into new life where sin will be no more. The eternal inheritance with God will be for only those who committed their lives to Christ and lived a life here on Earth that reflected their commitment in following Jesus Christ.

Just thought I should share these few thoughts about true Christianity.

Its good you are here. I asked a question a while ago and no one seemed to have a good answer. My question was; Christianity is only a third of the world population. when the day of judgement comes, will God send all the other 70% to hell? Among this 70% is those who have heard the Word and have refused to obey - that we know their destiny... just like those in 30% who call Lord Lord with no faith. Now,my concern is those who have never heard the word hence did not follow it not because of disobedience but because of lack of information. How will those be treated bearing in mind the bible is clear about heaven and Hell and no intermediary?

Some deals are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

@Wendz,

Even our very own laws borrow heavily from the bible........Ignorance is not an excuse.

@mkristo: true Christianity is following and practicing Jesus's teachings.

@ngwono: thank you for that.

Did you know that concept of 'the Father, the Son,and the Holy Ghost' came after Jesus?

Jesus never taught about this concept at all, neither did all other prophets of God taught about it.

God himself was clear concerning his unity. Jesus re-iterated the same to the people.

Jesus himself submitted to God,worshipped Him,told Satan there is nobody worthy of worship except God,and that only God should be raised.

Everybody knows that the Bible has been revised many times.

People, infact government of the time dictated what should be removed and what should be retained in the next version.

For example, during the time of Emperor Constantine,The council met and voted on whether Jesus was God or not.

Then,all original copies were burnt!!

Most of the things we defend is man made, never originated from God.

...good Question. God in His soverignty will know exactly what to do with those people. We as finate human beings may not quite know. But there is a clue in the book of Romans 1:18-20 and 2:13-15.

Here it means that people who may not have heard about the Gospel and probably they live in the bush, they are still able to tell the existence of God from the wonders of nature, thus they learn to fear God. It something close to what our traditional forefathers had,in that they had a form of worship and reverence to God,they knew the difference between right and wrong, yet no one had taught them the truth of the Gospel therefore, according to their standards of righteousness then,God will judge each of them.

Am now shocked that are no barbs being thrown on Islam.

As for Trinity-why is it so complex to understand?

The words of Saint Paul are held by most of Christianity in the highest regard.

However,no matter what role St. Paul played, when displaying respect for the teachings of Paul,it is necessary not to lose sight of the fact that he is in no way equal to Jesus, nor should his command be placed before the command of Jesus if we were to find them to differ from one another.

Christianity has been reduced to an interpretation of the words of Jesus within the context of what Paul taught rather than the other way around which is the way it should be.

We would expect Christianity to be the teachings of Jesus and that the words of Paul and everyone else would be accepted or rejected according to their conformity to these Jesus's teachings.

However, you'll notice that Jesus never in his lifetime mentioned an original sin.

He never asked anyone to worship him, neither did he ever claim to be part of a Trinity.

His words and actions are those of a loyal messenger of God who faithfully and faultlessly followed the commands of his Lord and only told his followers to do the same and to worship God alone (John 4:21,John 4:23,Matthew 4:10,Luke 4:8 ...etc.).

Not long after,Jesus departs, now Saul (St. Paul),a man who never met Jesus,a man who by his own admission persecuted the followers of Jesus by every means within his power and presided over their execution, comes along.

Suddenly one day St. Paul receives a vision from Jesus, and his whole life is turned around.

He now takes it upon himself through the authority of his visions to spread the word of Jesus to the whole world and to explain what Jesus really meant.

Paul claims that the law of God through Moses is worthless, decaying and ready to vanish away.

And faith in the crucifixion is the only requirement for a Christian to enter heaven (Romans 3:28,Hebrews 8:13...etc.).

Who do Christians listen to,Jesus or Paul? They listen to Paul.

They take the words of Paul literally and then 'interpret' the words of Jesus within the context of the words of Paul.

No one takes the words of Jesus literally and explains the words of Paul within the context of Jesus' words.
