The purpose of anybody having a relationship with God (Allah in Islam),is so that he or she may go back to the original nature and intention that God created the universe and all creatures including human beings.

We all admit that this world has a problem; we witness many issues that are not right. That comes from the fallen nature of creation from the original intention that God had.

Let me now bring it home; if Islam does indeed help people to have a genuine relationship with God,thus restoring them to God's original intended purpose,then truly Islam is the way back to God.

The same case applies to Christianity.

Finally,we all make a choice based on our convictions because God has given us free will,free will to even be evil.

A day will come when the truth shall be revealed; those who have based their faith in the truth shall benefit while those who have not shall lose.

@bashka: me too,I'm studying all religions.

This way,one can make one's own decision.

The fact that we were born in certain religion,does not mean it is right.

@all:
Now that we are in agreement about not having any other God before the Almighty,we can look at something else.

The verse 4,chapter 20 of the book of Exodus forbids images of God.

That means those Christians who believe in the Ten Commandments should not have images of god in their churches.

As you seem to fancy,going through these scriptures ( both Koran and the Bible) with a tooth comb,you will dig lots of inconsistencies.
Given that they were put forward in the times of yore,todays changing dynamics may pose a few challenges to their relevance and convincability.
As much as you fish something from the bilbe that you think is wanting,other guys will surprise you with stuff from the Koran that they think is murkier. Vicious circle of conundrums.

Of more relevance and immediate concern to the world today is promoting peace and an environment where each and everyone can pursue their life dreams while letting live of others,bila kubuguthiana.

Question then is,how do each of the two main religions fair on that scale.
Tell us guys if you can put your palm on your chest and swear that you faith isnt the one throwing the spanner into the works.

Dear Sister Reiner. i wish you all the best in your new found religion. I just want to warn you,as they say 'buyer beware'. I have been there,and have seen it all. It has a very attractive covering,but once you go deeper into it,and if you have not already been brainwashed,you wil realize,it is not as attractive,as on the outside. I dont want to get into arguments,as they will just continue,but sister,just beware,study deeply,think,talk to people and then decide. Just some advice from someone who has been there,but who has been delivered

Don't go that way folk since you ain't answered one questions about the idols of Kaabah.Lemme try and make it simpler......why do 'we'' face Kaabah while 'praying'?........

Summary of the answer here:

Kaaba is the Qibla i.e. the direction Muslims face during their prayers. It's important to note that though Muslims face the Kaaba during prayers,they do not worship the Kaaba. Muslims worship and bow to none but Allah.

I found it on this site,please read more:

Before converting,it calls for lots of soul searching. I have been in the middle East for 2 years now and have been lucky to stay in Jordan,Iraq,Lebanon,Kuwait and Gaza. While you may have your reasons to convert,it does not look as rosy in once there. This is a religion where they do not recognnise women at all. You will simply take the back seat and somebody else will run your life. In a country like Saudi,women cant even drive a motor vehicle,in the name of reducing their exposure to men,yet their men sleep around. Middle East is a place where men will remain faithful to the spouses but come summer,they all hop on the next flight to Lebanon on a sex holiday. Its all pretence. Having been here for 2 years,its the last thing I can ever do.

@xtians in da house.

Lets remember to pray for our brothers and sisters in Iraq.They are going through serious persecution in Iraq to an extend that they have opted to live as refugees in the neighbouring countries.i was listening to news yesterday and its indeed sadening.While we are having freedom of worship here,some are right now going through hell just because they are xtians.May our good God give them grace to keep the faith during this trying moments.Like Stephen,the first matyre,who was stoned to death but he kept the faith.As they were busy stoning,he was seeing the heavens open ready to receive them.

The xtian who are suspected to be having rich relatives are hotcakes for kidnapping whereby they ends up realising huge sums of money for realise.

For those reading and interpreting the bible in their mothertongue to suite their challange or debate for that matter,am sorry to let you know that therez something called devine revalation.It might be hard for you to understand if you do not know our teacher,our companion,councellor,called the holy spirit that was given to us after Jesus Christ the Son of God had died and ressurrected to take care of the flock.

Am not inviting you for a new challange but the bitter truth is .No man shall see God not unless you pass through His Son Jesus Christ.The Prince of Peace,the Holy one of God,Who did no sin.You have no choice but to accept Him(Jesus) as your saviour.Without surrendering to him,then all your effort is regarded as madness under the sun.No wonder God is saying that ' My people perish because of lack of Knowledge.

It does not matter how first a religion is growing,that does not shock me at all because there is the Big road taking people to hell where there will be forever crying and grasping of teecth and a small one taking very few to enternal life where there is forever joy and praises.Where we shall meet the 24 elders bowing to the King of Kings singing HOSSANS IN THE HIGHEST!!!!!!!!!! Holy !holy !!holy,!!!1!Holy is the Lord Almight,Worthy to receive honour and Praises,my goodness i cant wait for this day.God help be to hold on till when you shall come with your kingdom.

@reiner.

Such are the time when i pray for the will of God to be done in you life.It doesnt matter how far you have gone.But the truth is,if you were created to perish then therez nothing much we can do but if your name is written in the book of life then belive my simple words,you will bounce back with fire preaching the gospel like no one.Like Saul when he became Paul did not need anyone to remind him to do the work of God neither did he wait to be convinced but he preached the Word more than those who saw Jesus face to face,he was learned but did not mind calling himself a slave of Jesus Christ.Never even cared to marry but he preached the non - compromising Gospel of Jesus Christ.He told the flock ' follow me as i follow Jesus Christ' .!!!!!!!!! AMEN!!!!!!!God could be giving you time to learn what the devil is doing to His people on that other side but HEY!!!before you go far come back to the Kingdom so that you may now not look for pple to convince you but you will be the one to convince people.Remember Jesus only took 3days to learn the devils kingdom.Alienda huko,kamnyanganya ufunguo,na kwa hakika alileta mhadhara kwa adui shetani.thats why the devil hates that name.He cannot withstand Him coz of what happened.That was the greatest miracle.

There was a time when Pharisees were asking Jesus to show them a sign but he told them that there is no other sign that will be given to them other than the sign of Jonah.I.e Janah taking three days in a fish belly was symbolising his death and resuurection.God Bless you my siz/bro as you make this very important decision.I love you and God loves you too.

Without Holiness no man shall see God.Dear God,mould me to be a vessel of honour at this End times,to remain Obedient to your Word in all situations.Amen!

@ngwono: don't loose control. It's dangerous,you may just pour out words and mix yourself.

I feel pity when someone says the bible is interpreted to suite one's challenge.

I didn't know there a place where the Bible has been misinterpreted in this discussion.
