Watching this block trade intraday... If price closes at 63/- then expect the price to dip in coming weeks even with rosy results! This action is telling just before H1 results. So far the banking sector results are lukewarm... I remain extremely positive on this stock notwithstanding the price drop today. I agree with the deal that this is not exactly an arms length transaction, but more of a backroom deal between two big parties. I expect the price to bounce back to the 66-68 level in no time. As long as these big sellers are in the market the return to the low 60s could still happen, but the minute they are wiped out, off we go to the races!!!

Why so?,we have had such huge block trades in the last two months, including one where the share lost 15% in two days, after the block trades the trend has been price recovery to initial levels.

I have a question. I placed an order at 65.00 today before the trades at 63.00. yet my order did not go through. is that supposed to happen?? The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

Had your broker placed it in the market?...or maybe it can be done, something in the line of high frequency trading done in developed markets.

Some big boys are playing around with this share & CMA is just watching! Today it has gained what it was forced to lose yesterday. In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience. Take the experience first; the cash will come later - H Geneen

Today it has gained what it was forced to lose yesterday. I find nothing wrong,it is all within the day limits and it is their money/shares.

@Aguy, Did you place the order yourself i.e. through the online system (Dyer and/or CFC Stanbic have this)? Or was it via a call or email to your broker? If the latter, can you ask them for the actual time they placed your order. I am not sure whether Kenyan orders are time-stamped but you can inquire. The big orders were executed at at about 10.10 if I am not wrong, and all orders at prices above 63 would have to be filled before the one for 63 was executed. I had my longstanding 65/= shilling order executed. Aguytrying wrote:I have a question.
