You have taken the Joke too far. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

If it is sabotage, where were the security guys that guard that airport 24/7/365*6. the funny guys always pointing guns at you within minutes of simple error at the airport. This is just lack of preparedness Kenya styro!!!! Accept!! Kenyans (myself included) naturally run for dear lives whenever something small happens, this fire could have been started by something very simple, but the response could have been poor. How many of us know what to do if a fire breaks out even in our own houses? do we have fire extinguishers in our houses? cars? Do we know how to use those that are in our places of work?? Have you seen how people behave when there are fire drills in office buildings?

Am disturbed. This is HORRIBLE. Customs should tell us how the small fire at 4 am couldn't be controlled and how it spread out like this. Like seriously? The rumours are not helping matters either. Argh

This is a catastrophe. Where are the contigency plans? It is not enough to say that the airport is closed!
Eldoret or MIA should be JKIA's backup sites to allow transit passengers, cargo (horticulture especially), arrivals and departures of passengers to continue.
Terminal 4 better have a firewall that shuts down in the case of fires so that it does not spread to other areas. The CS transport mentioned airwalks that connect arrivals to the departure areas, were these sealed off, indeed can they be sealed off?
Personally I don't think this is sabotage but complacency which is an attitude carried by many Kenyans myself included.

I also doubt very much that there is a in-built fire suppressant system in the entire airport.

- this is Pattni revenging - where are those guys who were saying JKIA is world class? A major airport without fire control? - soon the fire brigades will run out of water...just watch! It does not matter who is doing what, or the cause at this point, most important thing is we should be prepared to deal with the worst. Someone at that Airport takes home some big bucks, awards contracts to their cronies to supply garbage, must have stolen everything including the fire suppressors, extinguishers and even the fire engine, and ignores all roles he is paid to perform. Coz fire getting to that magnitude at such a high security level facility at peak just doesn't make sense. I don't think we are ready, this more than anything makes me really doubt our organisational capacity as a race/people. I bet nobody at KAA gets fired. And I am not even going into the "do the honourable thing and resign" as would be expected everywhere else in the world. i agree luckily, no life was lost Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. - Muhammad Ali🐝

Surely JKIA must have smoke detectors and fire sprinklers linked to their alarm system. The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem
