@Mtu biz, how can enlightenment be something 'concrete'? How can it not be about 'shifting shadows'? You have done well to mention the 'folly' of looking within. It brings out 'some few things'. 1. The judgment you have given above comes from looking 'without', and is thus, 'True', and 'Certain'. But it's easy to show that this argument is 'False'. In the first place, I only need to point out that you can't state the dimensions of 'within' and show their difference from the 'without'. And neither can you show that if such a difference existed, you'd have access to the 'without'. Or can you? 2. By asserting the 'folly' of looking 'within', you assert the 'folly' of 'repentance', and 'salvation'. The log is in your eye, but look! Your focus? Your 'profession'? 3. It's a well known 'fact' that Man, by design, can only see what is 'within'. 'Interpretation'. In this case, if you were 'concrete' and 'certain' then you'd not offer a verdict or opinion. You wouldn't say anything. But you've interpreted and opined, and in the same breath denied the foundation of your speech. You are cutting the branch you're sitting on while calling others 'fools'. Your heart is saying, 'There's no God'.

What joy to embrace the prophets and rulers, and philosophers, every thread and pattern of history. God's own story.
In the first birth, the child must cry in pain and discomfort; but in rebirth the child, and I am a child, only has tears of joy.
Emerging from the labyrinth am I reborn, through the flame on the trees.
And may this tree, give forth light and lead Man on the straight and narrow path.
A search for a meaning. The process of self-discovery. In the end, freedom, achievement and joy.
But then, guilt stops the 'merry.' Guilt for failing to 'conform.' Perhaps, after being Consumed by feelings of doubt.
The past meets the future. But the future is not independent of the past; nor is the present independent of the two. The past becomes the present, and the future - perhaps with a different meaning. Live Full Die Empty - Les Brown.

'In the end'. 'End' can only mean 'death'. And the death comes when we see 'finite' goodness in the light of infinity. The enlightened individual can't measure up. He must hide, and be banished from the 'garden'. To return, he must relinquish his self, and let the infinite reign.

What sensible, testable thing can be attributed to have resulted from the awareness, the possession of this 'knowledge'?
Instead of exiting the closet, to speak, and spread abroad the good news, the information, so that the neighbors can also rejoice,
after having proven yourself to the ones who need proving to by exiting the labyrinth,
the darkness only deepens, to discombobulate the 'goyim' to the secret delight of the 'illumined', the 'enlightened', the 'knowers'.
I think I understand well now. It is quite dark and black
