Good idea but at night no way.Imagine waiting for hooligans to come pluck your mirrors.Worse still hijack you at gunpoint or a drunken driver plugging your vehicle from behind.

Just watch Road Hog on Citizen and you will realize how rotten our traffic manners are. All the big offenders read like " Office of the President, Judiciary, Dept of Administration of Justice, Hon XYZ etc etc". A county that does not operate under its own rules is just a jungle.

All we need to follow the traffic rules.

I was dismayed to see a GK Discovery, trying to use the wrong lane..right in the middle of town; Kenyatta Avenue hapo emperor plaza. The disgusting fellow (i dont blame the cop dere but his cargo, whoever he was) wanted to go up towards uhuru highway..

The cop saluted before asking him to pls join the queue .....

and in the brief 7 minutes it happened, traffic backed up to the roundaboutShame on you Shame on you Shame on you

Lights will not change our driving culture sadly, let the fines be hefty , and this business of being dragged to court should be avoided, let the fines be slapped onto your insurance premium ( which most of us have to pay each year) they should also introduce a portal where you can check your accumulated fines and you can pay at your own convenience . Points on DL's should also be introduced.

Also people who hoot the second the light turn green should be fined too.

Couldn't agree more. It's not about lights. Drivers keep jumping lights and more lights won't stop them.

Lights + Cameras + heavy fines should work.

The 'Kidero lights' are impressive. Can the cops now move away from the road and let the lights function???

Kwani they don't have outriders to clear the traffic for them??d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! But its good for them to taste what Nairobians experience every day.
The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem
