Was watching this NTV clip Rink of the fake doctor (george Taitumu) complete with 'MBChB' degree ya kuchonga from 'The Uni'...at SOS Buruburu Health Facility and he has been preactising there for the last 9 years and I asked mysel what the F**k....@@ kenyan are others how many other fakes exist in the the country including in other professional practices? i recall fake lawyers ... Next time am consulting a Doctor, Architect lawyer i need a week's preparation to obtain dosier. am preparing a checklist : 1.Class photos and certified copies of his undergraduate transcripts...graduation and class outings. Picha walipigwa na clan during graduation 2. His/her hall of residence at the Uni and best friends at campo... 3. College admission number and Helb ... think of it national Id /PIN and admission number can be used online to confirm HELB if indeed a fella went to college 4. Now,compare this to the many cases of negligence that's been coming up in the news lately against doctors, who i assume are we are fully trained and registered by the medical board. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.... He got better on the job... In public hospitals, nurses and clinical med officers are the guys who do all the gp's work, apart from surgeries

6.. ongezea zingine we have to be careful I don't think the presence of papers, and photos can be of any help. Quacks will just advance their game. Images can now be edited. Not even active social networks will help. Health and healing will be a result of individual enlightenment and work via the most natural means. Credibility is not by crowds, but by sight.

This case was better and probably has nothing to worry about since the guy was a trained graduate Nurse...word on the street is that graduate nurses are better in the field as compared to Graduate doctors! The worse case are the kwaks (spl.) who never saw inside of any medical school, even a village medi-polytecnical! Portfolio: Sold

: Thank God most Doctors I know are on the list maybe the Board should in future consider inserting a column or two to include Principal Clinic or Hospital of practice ans a Rink to latest coloured Passport Photo. Wapi WASHIKU asaidie hapa  All professional association should follow PAP! with upto date websites and we flush out these pretenders. Accountants, auditors, Police kama Waiganjo ... Several MPs have lost petitions for using services of fake lawyers... And just because a doctor is genuine doesn't mean his treatment is correct and will work on you! The onus of getting whatever is good and right for you rests on yourself..

Long ago i realized medicine is guess work when i took my few days old kid for a medical treatment. The Doctor just looked at the kid and knew what was wrong! The body has a way of self treatment which works best. Eat well, exercise and trust in God. The rest is guess-work. Try this- Pretend you are very sick and go to a doctor and be sure there will be a diagnosis. "Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least." Goethe

Nothing to worry much about especially considering that the Guy had a Nursing Degree.In the village nurses with certificate qualifications run clinics and command a lot of respect from the villagers on matters healthcare.Infact they are consultants. Between just remembered that when I was growing up,we had a family Doctor by the Name Ja Nyakunguru,I came to discover many years later that he was but only a cleaner in the local dispensary. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

The young doctor scribbled things and asked me to take to the nurse at the counter, the nurse gave me a small white bottle and asked me to go download kidogo and bring back...I was like what the f*ck!!!!!!...I headed straight to my car and sped off never to look to back, I threw the bottle along the way! Well, @Gathige, doctors are not God! They rely on the presenting complaints that you tell them. So, if you lie to a doctor that you are sick, then only you alone are to blame. Peace in our Homeland.

Coincidentally, the schools i went to, the matron coupled up as a nurse too, and always dismissed you and said you were homesick and not sick...
