Legally they are supposed to be kept for 7 years. my take is that UK want to Implicate evil society (NGO) for witnesses coaching. Africa belongs to Africans.

Steven Kay (UK's lawyer) did say he the confidential suit was to "protect ICC victims and witnesses" am not sure about this blog but it was quoted in some magazine i had read earlier today Phone records from the post-election period for 10 personalities mostly pro-Kibaki including current President Uhuru Kenyatta's (both Safaricom and Airtle lines), a former State House operative, a Naivasha politician, among others were procured from mobile operators Safaricom and Airtel by ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda late last month and early July.
