In the last 3-4 months Tanzania has hosted the 3 last US Presidents...now we all know to these people, there's nothing like coincidence...what is it that they know/lobbying about?

Rumor has it that it has something to do with DRC and the minerals there-in. I stand to be collected though.

The DRC and its minerals have always been an open secret to all and sundry - nothing new so far. Plus its seems to me much easier to get to DRC via KE than through Tz.

If it was DRC, they would have called Kabila to go eat some pizza at the White Hse and support the army, or even send troupes there. I tend to think it could be gas...TZ and Mozambique has more than what Quatar has. But I could be wrong...I think their snubbing of Kenya is as a result of the ICC cases. So far Its just Kenya and Burundi that have not been visited

From sources in one of the DRC's mining field; the former 3 US presidents have much stake in the mining companies there. The security is top notch, like a military camp. The closest these dudes can get to the action is TZ. They wouldn't dare land in DRC, to avoid the shenanigans and not appear as partisan to the going ons.

With the just discovered gas deposit in TZ running all the way to Mozambique, there's renewed interest in the country.

So could this be the reason why Kagame and Kikwete are not in good terms...Kikwete has been maligning Kagame's name oflate.

Could be, you never know what these former prezos promised Kikwete. Chances are he was promised TZ being the launching pad for their projects and/or base for their Africa offices/better gas mining deals. If you look at it closely Rwanda borders DRC unlike TZ but the downside is, Rwanda is landlocked and needs either TZ or UG. So its mad slinging to appear the best.

With the revelations on BBC that Kagame is the M23 "cic",....something is cooking. I believe the meeting in Kampala was not just about the northern corridor. Rwanda will stop relying on Tz. Today UK met Mo1...M7 was in town yesterday.

Ha ha lets see how that will play out. Most of these international investors land in Tz but end up relocating to Kenya because one resource that you cant change is personnel.

lived there for a while and on top of the lack of skilled and willing personnel, language is a big barrier and so far they have not put in place mechanisms to change that - can't fault them though, they do love their lingual culture.

The west just want an alternative to kenya, but in the region apart from rwanda - none of the other countries even come near, and it gets more complicated by those tullow guys
