Dear Wazuans,

I just wanted to know whether anyone of you have heard of GoodLuckImporters.....maybe dealt with them or heard a friend who did.
I see their ads on OLX and their prices are usually extremely low than the prevailing market prices of any auto model they put. The prices are the ones that Raise a RED FLAG, in my opinion and their ads are always put as "Quick Sale".

I am getting tempted,,,,but not too tempted to want to loose my hard earned bucks.

Anyone with information about them, I will appreciate feedback.

I do not feel unsafe dealing on OLX coz I have bought a car through it and it has been well. I exercise caution though!!

Pole for your loss... but is the problem really OLX as well, or just the advertiser?

@Nancy,
Pole for the loss..How did the conning happen i.e did you verify that the car exists and the ownership status before paying for it?

@Nancy pole sana. I wouldn't blame OLX though. OLX is just a market space where buyers and sellers meet and it remains ones responsibility to check the goods first.so unfortunate some people abuse such things

Can you share a link to check out from these guys?

@Nancy olx is just a market place. It's a link between buyer and seller. They just provide the platform. olx will not verify the car on your behalf, it is your job to do this.

I'm interested in knowing these "good luck" guys.
I suspect this is where stolen cars are sold at a throw away price! And seller is given a lot of excuses when he/she asks for log book!

Due deligence a d caution should be observed while buying any car.
1. Are all documents intact.
2. Body/chassis/ or car man. number
3. Engine number.
4. Ownership
When done ;
Come with mechanical guys check what's being sold.

Nobody can cheat you unless greed and carelessness takes over

I would treat anything/anyone with the names "GoodLuck" with caution...just ask the aides of President Yar'Adua...

Dear Wazuans,

Thanks for your response.Goodluckimporters123 can be traced through Airtel No.0789601009. Wish these conmen could be traced. It was a sad experience for me and I wouldn't want anybody else to fall victim.

I was about to fall prey for these goodluck importers. I was intrested in one of their cars but strangely enough , the dont give details of theirs cars. they just tell u to head to mombasa and discuss with them. I became curious after the guy told me that he i will have to pay him so that he can send me Photos of the car i wanted. He even went further by statin that i shud first place a deposit of like 200k as he sends the photo then when i get to mombasa i will pay the balance! I questioned as to why their cars are way too cheap compared to other cars en he told me that thats their busines en its coz they dont pay for duty. After all that info.... i scampered for safety and i wudnt want 2 hear of anything by tha name of GOODLUCK IMPORTERS!! beware of cheap stuff guys. if u want a car please import for urself from a reputable company. If u have doubts about the company u want 2 import a car from.... Insist on using Paytrade. its abit costly but it assures u of getting ur unit or ur money back just incase u fall under any dubious deals

Pole sana for that. Would you be kind enough to share the details on exactly what happened so that others may not fall through the same trap?
