Met some today at 8 pm as i was coming from shags with a four yr old andd an almost full car. They wanted to force me to take a victim to a hospital. It is a busy road and i did not see the sense of squezzing an unconsciuos patient next to a child and risk traumatising a kid for life were anything to happen on the way. What would you have done?

If you were the unfortunate victim, what would be your thoughts?

I would expect the person involved to be rational. Another victim as a result would not better my situation.

I kind of understand your predicament. Iam believing if it were not for the passengers in your car you could have helped.

But mayb, just mayb, if you realy realy wanted to help...you could have found a way.

@thuks, no one can tell you what you ought to have done in this case. What we can speak about are the motives of your action - fear.

Don't be nettled by what we say, all of us act under nothing but fear. What do you fear? That is what you worship.

You make sense but you also like making huge leaps in logic.

You've made me see how I fear losing myself, and so do I worship approval. But then though such experiences are as precious as pearls, I see a greater treasure, and hastily abandon my pearls to dance with God.

Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

a mat is more likely to help take an accident victim, whomever they are; than most of us here would.

The stats posted on the accidents thread would be different if we were willing to assist victims

Its sooo sad and traumatising to see pedestrians carrying a victim of an accident, trying to put them in someones car for help to the nearest care centre fast...

and all the personals hurriedly locking up all doors and windows and even drive off fast off road... juu hatutaki kuandikisha statements, and appear in court etc etc etc.

when the call comes, am always at the ready.

Muheani, I still remember that incidence where you had to act as a mid-wife (or mid-husband) at 5am.

I was really impressed.

Have you spoken to that lady since then? Was the baby named after you? The baby will be 1 year in October.

Can't judge here, if the car was full then it was full. You have got to look out for your folk first, thats where we Africans go wrong, we forget what is most important and focus on communal goals.

Plus all the unpleasant stuff that happens when one tries to assist.

- Move an accident victim and in the process break something important
- Take them to Hospital and you are detained for endless hours as they ask you to pay for his treatment.

Nothing.

You worship yourself.

That is what you worship.

Nothing again.

You are afraid. You fear.

Hardly ultimate, more like ordinary.
Just for Mukiri.

Yeah, right!

Still nothing.

Still the afraid, scared, gutless, frightened, horrified, panicked man.
