Man,I've always loved conspiracy theories and how desperate theorists at times get to convince people. Just check out the 9/11 conspiracy theories that deny it happened and ignore the fact that hundreds of people captured the event on cameras. Or those that say that the US govt carried out the attacks. Conspiracy theorists are entertaining though as on face value they are quite convincing.



This particular one is more fascinating as the ordinary person couldn't verify for themselves the claims by Nixon's administration (and the fact that it was only his adminstration that sent all the alleged moon landings). So I search around to come up with my own conclusion. One of the most passionate sellers of the conspiracy asks @VVS,rather matter-of-factly,if he knows what van allen belts are,in attempting to drive his point home. Conspiracy theorists,like religious fanatics,don't usually table their own evidence,rather use a method of argument that attempts to prove something that can't be proven,by disproving something else.



Here's an example: 'It doesn't matter how difficult or expensive it might have been to falsify the lunar landings. Since it was absolutely impossible to solve the radiation problem(van allen belts),the landings had to have been faked.'

Just as much as I take most claims with a grain of salt,I double the dosage when it comes to conspiracy theorists. We could go through all the claims line by line but I don't really see the point. But as convincing as they sound,their claims are not bullet proof either - and are in fact a bit weaker when analyzed deeper

Those who think that the moon landing was a hoax will now have to cope with the fact that the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter has recently captured photos of the moon's surface where the bottom portion of the Apollo 11 lunar module still sits. The orbiter also took pictures of the Apollo 14 landing site in which you can see instruments,the lunar module,and astronaut tracks between the two.

Even though anyone with a high-powered telescope and laser system (don’t you have one?) can see the reflections off the equipment left on the moon,the conspiracy theorists still think the whole thing was staged,on the basis that we haven’t gone back. The fact that this is even a controversial issue says how pathetic the space program is. Were people claiming that Columbus faked his journey to the new world 40 years after his voyage? No,because other people followed his example.


For those who believe the Moon trip,all subsequent happenings involving Americans prove that they are masters of deception and mainly because across the globe they control the media. That the Americans lie,cheat,deceive,double-talk is all evident from their foreign policy shenanigans. They talk of democracy and rule of the people but support some of the most brutal dictators this world has ever seen. The Frankenstein of Bin Laden is an American creation. They actively supported the hardline mullahs to get rid of the Russians in Afghanistan,and now are paying the price for a very short sighted policy. Saddam Hussein was a friend for the bean heads Cheney and Rumsfeld. Lucky they backstabbed and killed him. A lot of skeletons would have otherwise stumbled out. So yes,it may not be very far fetched that the Moon trip was the classic hoax of the Century.

Not sure if man went to the moon but the film and pictures are fake! The cameras were supposed to be bolted on the astronuats chest,yet it can be proven some pictures were taken from a higher vantage point. Also the Sun does not brighten foreground and leave backgound dark.

How do you explain that Neil Armstrong has all but disappeared from media spotlight and that Buzz Aldrin looks and acts like a total fraud?

Below are answers to the list of ten of the most popular reasons given by conspiracy theorists who believe the Apollo Moon landings that began 40 years ago were faked.
1) When the astronauts are putting up the American flag it waves. There is no wind on the Moon.Look at the film again,you will see that it does not 'wave' it actually 'swings' like a pendulum...because there is no air to stop it. This proves that the flag was put in a place that has no air...like the moon


2) No stars are visible in the pictures taken by the Apollo astronauts from the surface of the Moon. Even hear on earth,when you take a picture at night,no stars will appear...unless you use a very wide aparture and a very slow shutter speed. Reason is that stars a too dim to be captured by a camera on normal settings...which is what the astronauts were using...try it and see for your self!!


3) No blast crater is visible in the pictures taken of the lunar landing module.The module was slowed down way up above the moon surface. Since moon gravity is onle a sixth of earth gravity,there was no need to fire the rockets while landing...the lunar module 'floated' gently to the landing site. However,during take-off [AFTER the pictures were taken!!],the lunar module DID leave a 'blast crater' behind....but of course this CANNOT be seen in the pictures for obvious reasons!!


4) The landing module weighs 17 tons and yet sits on top of the sand making no impression. Next to it astronauts’ footprints can be seen in the sand.moon gravity is one-sith of earth gravity. 17 tons on earth becomes about 3kg when taken to the moon. This observation proves that the astronauts were on a low gravity surface!!


5) The footprints in the fine lunar dust,with no moisture or atmosphere or strong gravity,are unexpectedly well preserved,as if made in wet sand. Inverted logic!! Low gravity means that the dust particles will not slide away easily [to erase the foot print]. No atmosphere means no wind to blow away the dust and erase the prints. Therefore this observation is also that the prints were made on the moon!!


6) When the landing module takes off from the Moon’s surface there is no visible flame from the rocket.The propellant used (hydrazine and dinitrogen tetroxide) produces no visible flame. Go look for the two chemicals and mix them...they will burn violently but you will not see any flame


7) If you speed up the film of the astronauts walking on the Moon’s surface they look like they were filmed on Earth and slowed down. Actually this is not true. Watch the dust from their boots. It rises to unusually high levels...because of low gravity and no air.


8) The astronauts could not have survived the trip because of exposure to radiation from the Van Allen radiation belt.The radiation in the belt is rather weak and you'd have to stay there pretty long [several days] to be affected by it. Space crafts [including Apollo] clear the belt in about one hour. This is not enought time to affect a human being in a space suit inside a metallic space craft. Actually,van Allen himself laughed at this suggestion and called the worst nonsense he has ever heard!


9) The rocks brought back from the Moon are identical to rocks collected by scientific expeditions to Antarctica. Earth and moon are 'siblings'. Their rocks are similar in age and structure


10) All six Moon landings happened during the Nixon administration. No other national leader has claimed to have landed astronauts on the Moon,despite 40 years of rapid technological development. The race to the moon wasmore for political benefit than than scienfic advancement. After beating the Russians in the race,there was no more need to send people there. Secondly, you get more scientific data by sending an unmanned ship to the moon [or anywhere else for that matter] than sending a man/woman! A 60kg probe can collect a lot more information than a 60kg man.
