Notorious Githurai Buses in Yet another accident

This culture where you harass everyone and break every law of the land because you are driving a bigger car (in size)than theirs, you have more money than they have, you a bigger body size (taller and / or have more muscle) You have a bigger title, you know someone powerful in government or police or you can just give out money and have your way will mess this country regardless of how economically empowered its citizens become.
You are right , its a time bomb ticking down , its just a shame that the lives of 50 people can be ruined in the blink of an eye by one maniac in the name of profit and thrills ... or do they think they are immortal? The said model of the bus was sometimes back banned from kenya roads due to faulty technical design [brakes],l think they are from india,how they came back?

Quite interesting that we are all blaming the driver but not the hawkers who are selling their wares in the middle of the freaking highway. Am not a prophet but please find below a chronology of events in the days to come following the accident.
Police will announce and indeed carry out a "major" crackdown. These criminals who own these buses have already paid their monthly dues to the top cops. So their vehicles will be conveniently withdrawn from the roads. You will be flagged down and asked to provide your dl, lifesavers, fire extinguisher and first aid kit. The last three are not in the law but its a "major" crackdown, stupid.
Our caring govt will offer to pay the morgue fees for those who died.
There will be a senior govt official during the funeral mass issuing threats to motorists who break the law. If any of the victims is a person of means, the above threat will be from the president himself.
After burying the victims, we all go back to our usual ways i.e. Suicidal drivers and a population that has accepted that loosing an average of 10 citizens per day through reckless
drivers, is good for vision 2030.
Don't you love the predictability of a banana republic?

And about miraa, the plant doesn't make you daring as stated, but one of the effects is making you VERY ALERT, a feeling of vulnerability na wasiwasi mwingi. Thats the most messy round about I ever saw. they should put grills like the ones on Haile Selassie avenue to remove those hawkers...and also build a bridge for them to cross...so sad You cant win, unless you first begin....
