This company seems to be behaving like FEP. Too many subsidiaries yet its hardly 10 years old.I belief each of these sub is to purse a certain business interest but the question is why cant they focus on a few businesses and do it to the best of their ability then roll out gradually. The Parent may end up being a vehicle for raising capital when subs are having a field day munching the bucks.Just my thots.Link-

In this stock all you are buying a promise...

If the promise of $1billion portfolio in 5 years is achieved we will all be wishing we bought boat loads!

@guru, they will need lots of capital to achieve that. An IPO is coming soon which would mean shareholders have to inject more money to achieve that dream portfolio. More, the company will need joint ventures and reits meaning dilution/joint sharing of the profits. .... In short, they may achieve that dream portfolio but still not wish we bought in boat loads at the current level or even at level being said by some!

This is what @deal has to say about this counter - http://www.contrarianinv...-or-there-is-more-to-it

I expect it to behave like Longhorn. Time will tell...

I wouldn't pay a cent over nav for this. i don't quantify promises, dreams, hopes. just hard facts.

Me thinks GEMS deserved better chillez. This is not one of the belles. If you distill the financials of this company they are basically selling a piece of idle land at a premium. You actually don't have to buy this stock, simply purchase land around where the company has land!
