Mama Mbogas are smart. They have got their biasharas to take care of.

Impunity,MJ said there will not be anything to sharehilders, even a bottle of water. Shareholder will be expected to attend, listen to the directors, ask quations and walk away. Gifts,Eating and drinking is not part of their AGM!

The future is already here!

You buy shares for DIVIDENDS & CAPITAL APPRECIATION & not for sodas. Will kubaffs riot bila sodas?

Actually,it makes sense to cut back on those costs - having gotten so much as dividend, and say, given the total number of shares one has,for example,if the total dividend is even five times worth a soda,I'd not grumble that Safaricom is NOT spending 'my money' to buy me a soda (for giving them money to grow the company). But as a Zain die hard - I can't wait to see what a circus it will be.

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

only 30,000 shareholders are to attend. anyone who has received any form of notification? i doubt if the mama mbogas will make it there.

A likely impossibility is always preferable to an unconvincing posibility.
African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

As stated elsewhere...the retained retained earnings will not translate into anything for the individual share holder

Take your soda and run...

NAIROBI,Aug 19 (Reuters) - Kenya's leading mobile firm Safaricom (SCOM.NR) said on Wednesday it was considering a share consolidation to cut the number of its shares in the market.

'There are a number of proposals to try and reduce the number of shares in circulation,' chief executive officer Michael Joseph told a news conference after the firm's first annual general meeting. (Reporting by Duncan Miriri)
