Hi. I have a two prong dilemma. I don't have a healthy bank statement. I've just been tipped of two real estate opportunities. One is an eighth at milimani area in Kitengela going for 1.1 million 28 km from Nairobi and another is kantafu area going for 380k -- the Daykio plots. Are the two areas likely to hike in price? The speculative figures given were very impressive. That's part 1 of my problem. I need to get a loan in order to buy either of the plots. I have 14 acres in nyandarua with a value of 3-4m. Can I get a loan from a bank with an unhealthy bank account or do you know an institution that is genuine that can help. I make 40k a month from business.

Perhaps you could use the 14 acres in Nyandarua to generate revenue that could go towards buying a plot in future! Why hurry to get a loan yet plots will still be available any time in the future when you have the cash!

Exactly...rem ua going to pay interest on that loan and you will have charged that land....there is a possibility by the time you pay the loan the appreciation of the land will be cancelled out...why risk that...

Exactly where in Nyandarua is your land? Water availability? Depending on this, you could lease [proper registered lease] the land for say 3 years, collect the rent in advance, top up with savings or such and buy the Daykio plot.
