think about it - smallpox, polio, diphtheria and other diseases that 40 years ago we killing people have been 'sorted' out to a large extent. hiyo flu watu wanachukulia kimchezo iliua watu kama 100 million in 1918 hardly a century ago.

just tired of looking back.. even the bible tells us not to. Ecclesiastes 7:10 says - Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?" For it is not wise to ask such questions.

What's the Lord saying this minute concerning vaccines?
These dawas are from herbs which He created.

most vaccines are actually the weakened form of the real disease.

Vaccination is completely important. Kwanza my greatest fear is menengitis. waaarrr i fear that disease to hell!!!!

Nevertheless, I really do not understand these baby friendly stuff. By the way the side effects of the vaccines are not that bad and they last a few hours plus not all vaccines have side effects. In fact, the only one that has side effects ni ile 3 dose pentavalent vaccine. Plus it varies from child to child.

I heard very many stories about this thing and how a child will cry from morning to morning. When my daughter got it, she experienced the normal fever. The nurses had advised me to buy Calpol just in case of the fever. But I never gave it her because in all three occasions she got very hot but still slept soundly. So what i did was to uncover her so that her body can cool down on its own. everything was fine the next day. Halafu i used warm water and a piece of cloth to soothe the point where she was injected.

So for me, these baby friendly vaccines are utterly pointless unless they will add vigor in preventing the disease. But that's just me.

No apprehension undergone. All in the duty of motherhood. I still prefer the normal and widely/longer used vaccines.

@ Maka. Forget about those baby friendly vaccines. Forget about them kabisa. Dont even use any of those which are available with doctors because they are preserved with Mercury. Take your baby for those KEPI ones - the ones for which you must go to the hospital on a certain day and time coz thats when they are opened. That way you will save your children from challenges such as autism and ADHD etc..... And dont give your children unnecessary vaccines like Flu. Flu ni homa tu. Give them freshly squeezed orange juice. Best
Lord, thank you!

There is a list recommended by KEPI eg polio, BCG, Hepatitis etc... stick to those ones. Beyond that multinationals are making money out of you. Can you imagine that Flu vaccine should be repeated every year? Someone is in business

I've been watching this thread from afar...

There's no medical sense in "baby friendly" vaccines. It's a marketing gimmick by vaccine companies.

There's no medical sense in taking a flu vaccine. The virus mutates so fast such that if you get exposed to a mutated virus you will fall ill with the flu. Unless it's for Avian/Swine Flu or H1N1 and you are traveling to a country where cases have been reported...

And these "special" vaccines are quite expensive. Someone's making money from all these ignorant parents. Sad

I still remember the discussion we had here:

Is Gertrude’s Hospital slowly killing our children?

Chep... You could be having the causative organism for meningitis so relax. As long as your immune system it timam you are good to go. Neisseria meningitidis' habitat is the nasopharynx of upto 10% of healthy people. It is spread through droplets and after acquisition of the organism, there is growth of the organism in the nasopharynx with mild inflammation and most people have no symptoms (that's the 10% of healthy people). There is then the invasion of the blood stream where the organism produces exotoxins which result in Disseminated Intravascular Hemolysis and toxaemia, leading to severe shock and comma. The last stage is the invasion of the meninges causing acute meningococcal meningitis. Symptoms of infection: severe frontal headache, vomiting, stiff-neck, high fever, rigidity of the cervical spine, In majority (70%) of the patients, a purple rash (obviously more visible in lighter skinned populations), appears bleeding into the skin from small blood vessels. The patient usually will proceed into a coma.

Read for yourself what the alternative media has to say about vaccines in the website shown below. Search for "vaccines" within the website.

I remember that one too... the arm was too painful.

My question exactly. If we are not facing some of these diseases eg Polio, why do we need the vaccine?

I am not a doctor and neither do I have kids but the role of vaccines cannot be overrated. They are extremely important.

Vaccines are probably one of the greatest human inventions, if it was not for them the world would look very different today.

The kind of sites people are picking anti-vaccine propaganda are equivalents of kenyanpost out there. Please if you want to learn someting go to credible sources.
