The NSE20 targets 5,000 a Level above which it closed on 4 Occasions this Year and prior to that, the last time the Index had closed above 5,000 was in 2008.

Commercial & Services Sector moved 3.3M shares, which accounted for 2.02% of the week’s traded volume. Uchumi Supermarkets moved 2.5M shares and closed the week at Kes.20.25.
Energy & Petroleum Sector
Energy & Petroleum Sector moved 21M shares, which accounted for 12.52% of the week’s traded volume. KenolKobil moved 12M shares during the week and closed at Kes.8.60.
Manufacturing & Allied Sector
Manufacturing & Allied Sector moved 5.7M shares, which represented 3.42% of the week’s traded volume. EA Breweries up 5.54% to Kes.343.00 moved 2.4M shares. Mumias Sugar moved 3.1M shares and closed at Kes.4.40.
Telecommunication & Technology
Telecommunication & Technology had 101M shares traded and represented 60.35% of the week’s traded volume. Safaricom closed the week 4.44% higher to Kes.7.05 on a volume of 101M shares.
