@Mukiha,

List in terms of prference
1.Gadisa
2.Northern galaxy

Within town,i would prefer Bomen.Silver Bells and Mocharo (the two are separated by Stans chemist),are more for individuals/people on transit.

@big chick,
Stop scaring people.Isiolo town is a very safe town.What happens is mostly way away from the town itself.I am actually a great admirer of this town and i have been toying with the idea of a holiday home there.

Do you know about "Rangeland" [http://www.rangelandhotels.com/camp-site.html]? I see that they have a campsite and I will be carrying my camping gear on this trip...

Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

@Mukiha,
I have been to Rangeland but didn't camp and so not in position to tell you how safe it is.I have had the oppportunity though to camp at Vervet and Butterfly campsites near Samburu Game lodge and my experience with baboons there was not good.

@Mcreggae,
What's funny with a holiday home?

Aha! I wanted to say Bomen,i have kulad nyam chom there but never slept there.

And actually you know you can get to Meru Town in just 30 minutes from Isiolo,using the now carpeted Ruiri road. Was built during the reign of Mwiraria hehehe . If you decide to do that ( thanks to @bigchic who said chochote chaweza kutokea in Isiolo),tell me i will tell you where to stay in my that stronghold!

Very cool town, Isiolo and also quite peaceful. I have never slept there though. I drive there from Nairobi and back by evening either to Nanyuki or Meru (for the night life though)
